If a person asks their pastor, "Do you teach Truth?", they will respond in the affirmative. And yet, if the next question is "Do you believe December 25th was the night the Mashiak was born?", they will begin to show their "cracked cisterns". Cracked cisterns don't hold water. When traditions are exposed to be make-believe and powerless to help us, fear leads to anger, and anger leads to the awakening. To wake up from a bad dream, we sometimes have to experience great fear. Paganism from the Sumerian culture (Babel) became imprinted on all humanity and scattered around the whole world. The confusion of languages was so powerful and effective, it remains to this day. The imprinted paganism from Babel is present also. Traditions are basically habits, and they behave much like an infection. They cling to the basic building-block of civilization: the family unit, and pass from parents into the children. This book will discuss how pagan traditions transformed into seemingly innocent habits, yet the "DNA" of the underlying paganism is still there. Prepare for the coming of Yahusha. If they do not repent of tradition, they will perish.

How did individuals and groups come to ascribe identities based on what would now be known as 'religion', categorizing themselves and others with regard to Judaism, Manichaeism, traditional Greek and Roman practices, and numerous competing conceptions of Christianity? How and why did examples of self-identification become established, activated, or transformed in response to circumstances? To what extent do labels (whether ancient and modern) for religious categories reflect a sense of a unified and enduring social or group identity for those included within them? How does religious identity relate to other forms of ancient identity politics (for example, ethnic discourse concerning 'barbarians')? Rhetoric and Religious Identity in Late Antiquity responds to the recent upsurge of interest in this issue by developing interdisciplinary research between classics, ancient and medieval history, philosophy, religion, patristics, and Byzantine studies, expanding the range of evidence standardly used to explore these questions. In exploring the malleability and potential overlapping of religious identities in late antiquity, as well as their variable expressions in response to different public and private contexts, it challenges some prominent scholarly paradigms. In particular, rhetoric and religious identity are here brought together and simultaneously interrogated to provide mutual illumination: in what way does a better understanding of rhetoric (its rules, forms, practices) enrich our understanding of the expression of late-antique religious identity? The study begins with reviews of three historical approaches to studying Paul’s relationship to the Judiasm of his era, the third anchoring Paul with the Judaism of his time (Second Temple Judaism). It then moves to an interpretation of his writings from a broad framework within that Jewish sociocultural paradigm. The study suggests that Paul’s letter to the Romans provides a defense of Judaism, and Romans 9 to 11 provides an argument for God’s faithfulness to Israel. Romans 11, particularly 11:25–32, presents a picture of Israel’s redemption and how gentiles relate to Israel’s redemption, through the mercy they have received via Israel. Gentiles are seen as instrumental in the redemption of Israel. Romans 11:25–32 should be read as a missional paradigm to Israel.
