He also explained the characteristics of icons. On the second chapter, he used ten individuals (some are dead while others are alive) that have stood out in their endeavours to illustrate how people can be icons in their own capacities. Some of the people used are not public figures, but he deliberately used them to prove that you don't need to be a celebrity to be an icon. On the third chapter, he sounds a very serious warning on the impact of the mindset on the success of any individual. He talked about different types of mindsets, and how they have influenced individuals and societies. Between the fourth and the seventh chapter, he dealt with characters, personal qualities, attributes, focus, positioning, direction, and what you must not lose as a visionary. From the eight to the eleventh chapter are topics that teach you how to. For instance, the author spelt out how to set and score lifetime goals, how to generate ideas and develop them, how to develop your skills, and how icons motivate themselves. On the twelfth chapter, he dealt with strategic networking using the fishnet and a microorganism called Volvox as his basis of illustration. From start to finish, the book motivates, inspires, informs, and educates the reader. On most paragraphs of the book are inspiring quotes that will drive the reader towards achieving his dream and vision. In every dream and vision, there are competitions, but the author advises in this book that, 'To keep up with the competition or even have a competitive advantage, you must keep growing; continuous growth is development. If you don't develop, you'll be overtaken by infants. Then, you will start talking about the good old days. If you have to keep relying on history to prove your relevance, you're dated.

This research endeavors to critically evaluate Miroslav Volf's ecclesial model for "the church as the image of the Trinity," one that he presents with the English title, After Our Likeness. Volf proposes a social doctrine of the Trinity, one that is heavily influenced by the theological writings of Jurgen Moltmann, and he puts forward that this nonhierarchical Trinity should be reflected in the structures and theology of the church. If Volf is correct, then a radical reshaping is needed for the church to conform to an egalitarian pattern, one that is "after the likeness" (Gen 1:26) of an egalitarian God. In this critical examination, Kevin J. Bidwell begins by stating the theological influences that are pertinent to Volf's thesis in After Our Likeness and the assumptions that undergird and inform his whole theological paradigm. An important theological excursus is offered to assess the theology of John Smyth, the first English Baptist, who is Volf's representative figure for the location of his own ecclesiology, the Free Church. A critical analysis follows of Volf's engagement with his two chosen dialogue partners who represent both Western and Eastern theological traditions: Joseph Ratzinger and John D. Zizioulas. Volf presents five theses for "the church as the image of the Trinity," which could be labeled as Volf's Free Church in the image of Volf's revised doctrine of the Trinity. This monograph offers extensive insight into the contemporary debate on the doctrine of the Trinity, but it also assesses many aspects of ecclesiology from both Eastern and Western perspectives.

Analysing a diverse range of cultural representations the book postulates the construction of an intertextual mythology through which the astronaut becomes an embodiment of American ideological values and heroic manhood. The discursive processes at work in the range of media texts examined serve to embed the astronaut into the cultural imaginary as a largely coherent and uncontested exemplar of idealised masculinity. Using a range of interdisciplinary analytical tools the book examines how the social construction of this masculine ideal iterates and naturalises gender hegemony. The book situates the astronaut within the context of a modern/postmodern theoretical framework linking shifts in gender perspectives to the contradictory narratives and characterisations that inform the mediation of the astronaut. In so doing, the book argues for a re-evaluation of the, often oversimplified, use of the term hegemonic masculinity as an anchoring point for the critique of masculinity. This book asks why audiences around the world have embraced particular iconic figures, how perceptions of these figures have changed, and what this tells us about transnational relations since the Cold War era. Prestholdt addresses these questions by examining one type of icon: the anti-establishment figure. As symbols that represent sentiments, ideals, or something else recognizable to a wide audience, icons of dissent have been integrated into diverse political and consumer cultures, and global audiences have reinterpreted them over time. To illustrate these points the book examines four of the most evocative and controversial figures of the past fifty years: Che Guevara, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, and Osama bin Laden. Each has embodied a convergence of dissent, cultural politics, and consumerism, yet popular perceptions of each reveal the dissonance between shared, global references and locally contingent interpretations.
