Book excerpt: CETTE THESE EST SCINDEE EN DEUX PARTIES TRAITANT, RESPECTIVEMENT, DE L'ETUDE DU SYSTEME D'INFORMATION D'UN ATELIER FLEXIBLE ET DE LA REALISATION D'UN OUTIL DE SIMULATION, APPELE FLEXSIM. DANS LA PREMIERE PARTIE, UNE APPROCHE HIERARCHIQUE BASEE SUR LES MODELES CONCEPTUELS ENTITE-ASSOCIATION ET RELATIONNEL, A PERMIS LA CONSTRUCTION D'UN SCHEMA RELATIONNEL D'UNE CLASSE D'ATELIERS FLEXIBLES. DANS LA SECONDE PARTIE, UN NOUVEL OUTIL DE SIMULATION EST PROPOSE. L'ORIGINALITE DE CET OUTIL RESIDE DANS LE FAIT QU'IL ETABLIT UNE INDEPENDANCE ENTRE LE MODELE DE DONNEES ET LE MODELE DE SIMULATION. UNE INTERFACE ENTRE UN SYSTEME DE GESTION DE BASE DE DONNEES RELATIONNELLE ET LE SIMULATEUR PROPREMENT DIT EST CREEE. LA COUCHE DE DIALOGUE DU SGBD EST LE POINT D'ENTREE DU SIMULATEUR, CE QUI FACILITE LA CREATION OU LA MODIFICATION D'UNE CONFIGURATION D'UN ATELIER FLEXIBLE.

Book MODELISATION DE L ATELIER FLEXIBLE AVEC CAPACITE LIMITEE DE STOCKAGE

Download or read book MODELISATION DE L ATELIER FLEXIBLE AVEC CAPACITE LIMITEE DE STOCKAGE written by Menelaos Lardas and published by . This book was released on 1986 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE TRAVAIL PORTE SUR L'EVALUATION DES PERFORMANCES D'UN ATELIER FLEXIBLE. APRES UNE INTRODUCTION GENERALE SUR LE SUJET DES ATELIERS FLEXIBLES ON PRESENTE LE PROBLEME DE L'EVALUATION DES PERFORMANCES D'UN TEL SYSTEME ET ON RAPPELLE LES METHODES POUR SA MODELISATION. ON ETUDIE UN ATELIER FLEXIBLE QUI CONTIENT UNE STATION AVEC TROIS SERVEURS. L'OBJECTIF EST DE MODELISER CET ATELIER ET ETUDIER SON COMPORTEMENT QUAND TOUTES LES FILES SONT A CAPACITE ILLIMITEE OU LIMITEE EN UTILISANT POUR CELA DEUX APPROCHES: UNE APPROCHE PAR SIMULATION ET UNE APPROCHE ANALYTIQUE A L'AIDE DE LA THEORIE DE LA FILE D'ATTENTE. LES RESULTATS OBTENUS PAR L'APPROCHE ANALYTIQUE SONT PAR LA SUITE COMPARES AVEC CEUX DE LA SIMULATION. ENFIN, ON ABORDE LE PROBLEME D'UN ATELIER FLEXIBLE QUI CONTIENT N STATION EN TANDEM. LES MEMES METHODES DE RESOLUTION SONT UTILISEES DANS LE BUT D'ETUDIER LE COMPORTEMENT DE L'ATELIER QUAND LES FILES SONT A CAPACITE ILLIMITEE OU LIMITEE. ON CONCLUT CE TRAVAIL AVEC LA COMPARAISON DES RESULTATS DES DEUX APPROCHES SUIVIES

Book Aide la conception d un atelier flexible

Download or read book Aide la conception d un atelier flexible written by Françoise Deloule and published by . This book was released on 1987 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: This volume contains the selected papers of the first I.D.M.M.E. conference on 'Integrated Design and Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering', held in Nantes from 15-17 April 1996. Its objective was to discuss the questions related to the definition of the optimal design and manufacturing processes and to their integration through coherent methodologies in adapted environments. The initiative of the Conference and the organization thereof, is mainly due to the efforts of the french PRIMECA group (Pool of Computer Resources for Mechanics) started eight years ago. We were able to attract the internationru community with the support of the International Institution for Production Engineering Research (C.I.R.P.). The conference brought together two hundred and fifty specialists from around the world. About ninety papers and twenty posters were presented covering three main topics : optimization and evaluation of the product design process, optimization and evaluation of the manufacturing systems and methodological aspects.

Book Spatio Temporal Databases

Download or read book Spatio Temporal Databases written by Manolis Koubarakis and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2003-08-04 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an introduction and source book for practitioners, graduate s- dents, and researchers interested in the state of the art and practice in spatiot- poral databases. It collects the most important and representative research c- ried out in the project CHOROCHRONOS and presents it in a uni?ed fashion. CHOROCHRONOS was a Training and Mobility Research Network funded by the European Commission with the objective to study the design, implemen- tion, and application of spatiotemporal database management systems. This book would never have been possible if it was not for the devoted work of many people. First and foremost, we would like to thank the authors of the nine chapters of this book for their hard work. We would also like to acknowledge the help of Christiane Bernard, our o?cer from the European Commission, who saw the project to its conclusion, working as hard as we did to make it a thorough success. The constructive comments and feedback of our reviewer Colette Roland (University of Paris-1) are also very much appreciated. Last, but not least, we would like to thank all the students and postdoctoral fellows who were trained during CHOROCHRONOS. We hope the time they spent at CHOROCHRONOS node institutions was rewarding and lots of fun! Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “A fascinating look at how consumers perceive logos, ads, commercials, brands, and products.”—Time How much do we know about why we buy? What truly influences our decisions in today’s message-cluttered world? In Buyology, Martin Lindstrom presents the astonishing findings from his groundbreaking three-year, seven-million-dollar neuromarketing study—a cutting-edge experiment that peered inside the brains of 2,000 volunteers from all around the world as they encountered various ads, logos, commercials, brands, and products. His startling results shatter much of what we have long believed about what captures our interest—and drives us to buy. Among the questions he explores: • Does sex actually sell? • Does subliminal advertising still surround us? • Can “cool” brands trigger our mating instincts? • Can our other senses—smell, touch, and sound—be aroused when we see a product? Buyology is a fascinating and shocking journey into the mind of today's consumer that will captivate anyone who's been seduced—or turned off—by marketers' relentless attempts to win our loyalty, our money, and our minds.

Book Knowing and Teaching Elementary Mathematics

Download or read book Knowing and Teaching Elementary Mathematics written by Liping Ma and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2010-03-26 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Studies of teachers in the U.S. often document insufficient subject matter knowledge in mathematics. Yet, these studies give few examples of the knowledge teachers need to support teaching, particularly the kind of teaching demanded by recent reforms in mathematics education. Knowing and Teaching Elementary Mathematics describes the nature and development of the knowledge that elementary teachers need to become accomplished mathematics teachers, and suggests why such knowledge seems more common in China than in the United States, despite the fact that Chinese teachers have less formal education than their U.S. counterparts. The anniversary edition of this bestselling volume includes the original studies that compare U.S and Chinese elementary school teachers’ mathematical understanding and offers a powerful framework for grasping the mathematical content necessary to understand and develop the thinking of school children. Highlighting notable changes in the field and the author’s work, this new edition includes an updated preface, introduction, and key journal articles that frame and contextualize this seminal work.
