Book The Radical Right During Crisis

Download or read book The Radical Right During Crisis written by Eviane Leidig and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2021-09-21 with total page 486 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While the COVID-19 pandemic overshadowed all else and would quickly have a lasting impact on our daily lives, other events related to the radical right in 2020 soon surfaced. From terrorist attacks in Germany and India to anti-mask protests across the U.S. and Europe, radical right violence escalated in the midst of circulating conspiracy theories and disinformation. The yearbook draws upon insightful analyses from an international network of scholars, policymakers, and practitioners who explore the dynamics and impact of the radical right. It explores a wide range of topics including reflections on authoritarianism and fascism, the role of ideology and (counter-)intellectuals, and radical-right responses to the pandemic and calls for police reform in the height of the Black Lives Matter protests. It ends with important assessments on best approaches towards countering the radical right, both online and offline. This timely overview provides a broad examination of the global radical right in 2020, which will be useful for scholars, students, policymakers, journalists, and the public.

Book God Guns and Sedition

Download or read book God Guns and Sedition written by Bruce Hoffman and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2024-01-02 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shocking acts of terrorism have erupted from violent American far-right extremists in recent years, including the 2015 mass murder at a historic Black church in Charleston and the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. These incidents, however, are neither novel nor unprecedented. They are the latest flashpoints in a process that has been unfolding for decades, in which vast conspiracy theories and radical ideologies such as white supremacism, racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, and hostility to government converge into a deadly threat to democracy. God, Guns, and Sedition offers the definitive account of the rise of far-right terrorism in the United States—and how to counter it. Leading experts Bruce Hoffman and Jacob Ware trace the historical trajectory and assess the present-day dangers of this violent extremist movement, along with the harm it poses to U.S. national security. They combine authoritative, nuanced analysis with gripping storytelling and portraits of the leaders behind this violence and their followers. Hoffman and Ware highlight key terrorist tactics, such as the use of cutting-edge communications technology; the embrace of leaderless resistance or lone-wolf strategies; infiltration and recruitment in the military and law enforcement; and the movement’s intricate relationship with mainstream politics. An unparalleled examination of one of today’s great perils, God, Guns, and Sedition ends with an array of essential practical recommendations to halt the growth of violent far-right extremism and address this global terrorist threat.

Book The Sinister Tradition

Book excerpt: THE SINISTER TRADITION is an authorized edition of three core works of the Order of Nine Angles: the Grimoire of Baphomet, Codex Saerus, and Naos. The Order is one of the oldest schools to codify Satanic practice, and these texts form the basis of the ONA's hermetic Seven-Fold Way, and the system of Traditional Satanism. Herein is described a way of sinister, predatory spirituality which will challenge its readers to find and defy the limits of self and society. Through the Grimoire of Baphomet, Codex Saerus, and Naos, the initiate learns the basics of the Septenary system, the mythos of the Dark Gods, the basics of Sinister Sorcery, Sinister Chant, the Star Game, and the Seven-Fold Way leading to Adepthood and beyond.

Book excerpt: Written both with the solitary practitioner in mind yet also suitable for group work, Scithain: Vampyric Witchcraft of the Drakon Covenant details, as the name would indicate, the black, chthonic witchcraft based both on historic record and astral communion with the Ascended Masters originating in the ancient Hebridean Isles - these so referenced now sending their Undead clarion call to a new generation of potential Adepts, those seeking that which is inherently transhuman and beyond. Positing their approach to the Sinister Tradition as explicitly vampiric in nature and ontology, the core West Yorkshire-based coven of the organization of authorship and its controversial head, A.A. Morain, delves deep into not only the historic underpinnings of their unique current, instead including, as well, its ordeals, initiatory degrees, entheogenic practices, bestiaries, rites, predatory astral praxis and hitherto secretive, occult and potentially applicable knowledge of a dangerous degree encompassing multiple levels of experience, thus allowing the perspicacious readership with the maximum of will and determination to avail themselves of a transfiguration both horrific - yet godlike - albeit still horrific and fell in nature.

Book excerpt: Corpus Secuntra, Telos - (English Version) This collection, entitled "Telos" contains various texts written by associates of Secuntra Nexion - the Traditional Italian Temple of the Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A) for over a decade. The intent of this present collection is to show i) an ONA/O9A Traditional Nexion in action, including part of its ceremonies, practices, training, and tactics, as undertaken in the real world; ii) the living and growing nature of the Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A) as a totality of Nexions and individuals operating clandestinely and in secret, bound by the same ethos, the same culture, and the same Logos, as enshrined in the Code of Kindred Honour; iii) some of the ordeals, tasks, and dares undertaken in the real world over many years by an Initiate who follows the Seven-Fold Way in the traditional manner - ordeals, tasks, and dares, which have often lead that Initiate to experiment and go beyond their own physical, mental, and intellectual limits, in addition to the limits of the so-called "society" in which they live, often by breaking, and thereby daring, its law in order to learn; iv) the essence of the Sinisterly-Numinous Tradition beyond the transient forms used to Presence The Dark - transient forms such as Satanism and National Socialism - and to bring about pathei-mathos. As such, this is the first work of its kind that openly deals with the Nexion's operation (as an ONA Temple/group). Unlike previously released texts, this work deliberately employs more visual forms- such as images and paintings - in addition to the printed word. This is to give a proper overviewthat in reality depicts at least part of what is trying to be communicated. As with all works of the Order of Nine Angles (ONA, O9A), this present collection may disturb some people, especially the fake and docile latter-day Satanists. It may, in turn, appear to be totally heretical to the law.

Book excerpt: The genesis of this compilation of essays was, as mentioned in the included essay A Premature Grieving, the publication in 2019, by political advocacy group, of various unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation about me and the subsequent repetition of such allegations and disinformation by some mainstream newspapers and media outlets. The unsubstantiated allegations and the disinformation concerned my supposed continuing involvement with extremism, specifically neo-nazism; it being apparent that neither the political advocacy group nor the newspapers and media which repeated the allegations and the disinformation had bothered to read my extensive post-2011 writings about rejecting extremism and about seeking expiation for my decades-long extremist past. This compilation of essays is my reply to those unsubstantiated allegations and disinformation. Book Understanding and Rejecting Extremism

Download or read book Understanding and Rejecting Extremism written by David Myatt and published by Createspace Independent Pub. This book was released on 2013-04-30 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Contents. Part One: Towards Understanding Extremism - Some Notes From Personal Experience. Part Two: A Learning From Grief. Part Three: A Rejection of Extremism Perhaps Explained. The first part contains some reflexions on, and some conclusions concerning, forty years as a practical extremist and forty years of practical experience of extremism and of other extremists. The conclusions regarding extremism resulted from some years of moral, personal, and philosophical questioning and reflexion; a questioning whose genesis was a personal tragedy in 2006, and which questioning led a few years later to a rejection all forms of extremism to the development of a philosophy of pathei-mathos, based on the virtues of empathy, compassion, and humility. Part two consists of transcriptions of some handwritten letters sent to a friend following that tragedy in 2006. Since such personal correspondence is usually far more revealing - of personal views, motivations, and feelings - than some essay or other in which one pontificates about this or that, some readers may find this part more interesting and insightful than either part one or part three. The third part consists of personal replies sent to individuals between 2011 and 2012 and which replies may serve to place into perspective that rejection of all forms of extremism as well as elucidate the development of the philosophy of pathei-mathos.
