This book was released on 2013-04-15 with total page 1858 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Autorisation de mise sur le march des m dicaments written by Thomas Devred and published by Wolters Kluwer France. This book was released on 2011 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Les m dicaments psychotropes les thymor gulateurs written by VERDOUX Hélène and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-12-16 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Download or read book Strength in Numbers written by Gunnar Trumbull and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2012-10-31 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many consumers feel powerless in the face of big industry’s interests. And the dominant view of economic regulators (influenced by Mancur Olson’s book The Logic of Collective Action, published in 1965) agrees with them. According to this view, diffuse interests like those of consumers are too difficult to organize and too weak to influence public policy, which is determined by the concentrated interests of industrial-strength players. Gunnar Trumbull makes the case that this view represents a misreading of both the historical record and the core logic of interest representation. Weak interests, he reveals, quite often emerge the victors in policy battles. Based on a cross-national set of empirical case studies focused on the consumer, retail, credit, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors, Strength in Numbers develops an alternative model of interest representation. The central challenge in influencing public policy, Trumbull argues, is not organization but legitimation. How do diffuse consumer groups convince legislators that their aims are more legitimate than industry’s? By forging unlikely alliances among the main actors in the process: activists, industry, and regulators. Trumbull explains how these “legitimacy coalitions” form around narratives that tie their agenda to a broader public interest, such as expanded access to goods or protection against harm. Successful legitimizing tactics explain why industry has been less powerful than is commonly thought in shaping agricultural policy in Europe and pharmaceutical policy in the United States. In both instances, weak interests carried the day.
Download or read book Clinical Trials in Belgium written by Caroline Trouet and published by Intersentia nv. This book was released on 2004 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In line with its strong position in clinical research, Belgium is one of the first European Member States where the implementing regulation of the Clinical Trials Directive is fully operational. The specific conditions provided for in the new law concerning experiments on the human person (May 7, 2004) reinforce Belgium as a very attractive host for clinical trials, ensuring a lasting environment for innovative research. pharma.be, the Belgian Pharmaceutical Industry Association, wants to contribute its part to research in Belgium by clarifying the practical implications of the new regulations. At its request, dr. iur. Caroline Trouet wrote an Operational Guidance, which analyses the new Belgian law from the perspective of the sponsor of a clinical trial, but addresses the roles and tasks of all parties involved in clinical trials. In order to assist everyone involved in clinical trials in the practical implementation of the new law, the Guidance provides for a short and comprehensive overview and insight into the process flows of the submission to and evaluation by the competent authority and the ethics committee of a clinical trials application. In addition, standard templates for the most important documents are added. The text is useful, both for study sponsors and for all other actors in the field of medical research and development such as members of ethics committees, physicians, pharmacists, administrators etc.; by those who have had access to the manuscript, it is already qualified as the standard textbook on the new EU legal framework and its transposition into Belgian law.

Book excerpt: The conference of the European Institute for social security, on the social security and the economic crisis, prepared by its Colloque, held in Tole do in 1981, was held from the 30th of September untill the 2nd of October in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. The Yearbook 1982 contains the reports presented at the Conference in Zoetermeer, which was opened by the Dutch Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, L. de Graaf. The Conference had before it ten national reports and seven synthesis reports (Paul 0 'Higgins, Benefits in general; Jan Pierik, Financing; Winfried Schmahl, Pensions; Yves Saint Jours, Health; Pasquale Sandulli, Unemployment; Martin Partington, Minimum income and family allowances; Jef van Langendonck, Social Security and Economic Insecurity). Most unfortunately Paul O'Higgins did not deliver the written text of his report and we regret that for that reason, we cannot include his report in this yearbook. The Conference, which got the hospitality of the Dutch Social Security Council in Zoetermeer, was very well organised and financed by the Dutch social security institutions and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. The Institute wants to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. J. Oosterhuis and his collegues and to the ladies of the secretariat Annemie Dancot, Jose Goes, Joke Torenburg and Lisette Veldkamp.
