Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Holt Coleman runs the Rescue Ranch with his five brothers. A project initiated by their parents and supported by the entire family. They rescue abused women, and abused horses. Two very different ventures with more similarities than expected, both are suffering from past trauma and have lost the ability to trust. Currently, the ranch needs a new house mother to welcome and assist the women who are seeking safety here. When convicted murderer Aurora Bickman applies Holt’s intrigued by her application and her past. When he meets her he knows he has to have her, as an employee, as a lover and as her daddy. Aurora Bickman was released from prison early given her good behavior and prison overcrowding. Most people thought she didn’t serve long enough but they also didn’t know her sentence began shortly after she married her deceased husband. Feeling as though she’s imposed on her best friend’s hospitality long enough, and even though she’s scared beyond belief, she is ready to start her life over on her terms. Surprised she has an interview and worried she’ll be rejected, she pushes the feelings aside and takes a chance at the Rescue Ranch. When she sees the gorgeous ranch and meets the handsome Holt Coleman, she feels as if her dreams have a chance to come true. In more ways than one. This is book one in the Rescue Ranch series and can be enjoyed independently. Publisher’s Note: This sexy, Daddy Dom, cowboy romance contains elements of danger, adventure, mystery, sensual themes and power exchange and is intended for adults only. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.

Book Women Knowledge and Reality

Download or read book Women Knowledge and Reality written by Ann Garry and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-07-17 with total page 511 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This second edition of Women, Knowledge, and Reality continues to exhibit the ways in which feminist philosophers enrich and challenge philosophy. Essays by twenty-five feminist philosophers, seventeen of them new to the second edition, address fundamental issues in philosophical and feminist methods, metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophies of science, language, religion and mind/body. This second edition expands the perspectives of women of color, of postmodernism and French feminism, and focuses on the most recent controversies in feminist theory and philosophy. The chapters are organized by traditional fields of philosophy, and include introductions which contrast the ideas of feminist thinkers with traditional philosophers. The collected essays illustrate both the depth and breadth of feminist critiques and the range of contemporary feminist theoretical perspectives.

Following the death of her closest companion, Infidel finds herself weary of life as a mercenary and sets her eyes on one final prize that will allow her to live out the rest of her days in luxury, the priceless treasure trove of Greatshadow. Greatshadow is the primal dragon of fire. His malign intelligence spies upon mankind through every flickering candle, patiently waiting to devour victims careless with even the smallest flame. The Church of the Book has assembled a team of twelve battle-hardened adventurers to slay the dragon once and for all. But tensions run high between the leaders of the quest who view the mission as a holy duty and the super-powered mercenaries who add power to their ranks, who dream only of Greatshadow’s vast wealth. If the warriors fail to slay the beast, will they doom mankind to death by fire? Greatshadow is the first book in an exciting new adventure series, blending superheroes and epic fantasy into a unique take on both genres.

Book excerpt: For poet and nurse practitioner Cortney Davis, the truth revealed through poetry is similar to what she has experienced in the heightened and urgent dramas that occur in health care—those suspended moments in which a dying heart might be revived or unbearable suffering relieved. We are vulnerable, her poems say, and we are dependent on one another—on the ways in which we care or fail to care for one another, in how we love or fail to love. In poems that are sensual, emotionally searing, and yet unfailingly tender, Davis shines a caregiver’s light on the most intimate details of the human body and the spirit within—how the flesh might betray, how it endures, and how ultimately it triumphs.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “If a person commits a crime against another people, and they are someday sorrowful of this crime, they will ask forgiveness from the person; we may or may not be forgiven; if we are not forgiven, either way we need to let it go. They will forgive you in their time, when it is right for them, that is the Creator’s job, not yours. In asking forgiveness from the Creator, you need to let it go. The Creator immediately will forgive us once we ask it of Him. It is our human nature to think, sometimes our crimes are too horrific in nature. The human in us tells us Creator can’t forgive those; it is the human in us that makes us think, it is the human in us we need to turn off. Only then is when we listen to our heart. The Creator does not have a court with a judge, jury or prosecutor; there is only One, Him. He does not have a scale or measure to determine or compare one crime to another, to Him a crime is a crime, if the crime is being an adulterer, a liar, or a murderer, to Him they are all the same, the punishment is the same. What matters is not the crime, but that you were spiritual enough to ask forgiveness from our Creator. Don’t let the human in you think you cannot be forgiven, that is Satan influencing you, Satan will want you to think you are no good and can’t possibly be forgiven. DO NOT listen to that one. Let your heart, your spirit take over with the understanding it is done. The Creator wants you to know you do not repeatedly need to be forgiven for the same crime. You have been forgiven, so you are to go on as He intended. He created us to be happy, so that is what you will do. And you are to be sure you forgive others for their crimes against you. That is just how it works.”
