Download or read book As I Hold You And Kiss You Goodnight written by Lori Nicolini and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-11-23 with total page 39 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most challenging yet rewarding experience for a woman is entering motherhood. I have thought about sharing this journey as I have carried on through parenting my now thirteen-year-old son, Aydan. He has brought so much joy and inspiration into my life that I felt compelled to share these tender moments for parents to explore with their children as they read to them and watch them drift off to sleep. Reading to your child at bedtime is, I believe, one of the most important and comforting experiences for both parent and child. I can remember countless times reading and rereading some of the favorites my son could not get enough of. Those moments were so precious I will cherish them forever and encourage as many parents as possible to relish in those opportunities. I know now that parenting is a journey of shared learning experiences for the whole family, and through my series, I plan to take you along for the ride. My first book, As I Hold You and Kiss You Goodnight, showcases the internal emotional roller coaster any new mother experiences in preparation for the bundle of joy on the way. Several illustrations are drawn from photographs and memories of my dear son, Aydan. As new parents, we all try our best in reading books to prepare us for the baby on the way, but it's a lot to take in. What I hope to convey to new mothers through my work is that it's imperative for your success as a mother to have faith in so much inside of us that already knows what to do when the time comes. This book simply is focusing on the commitment and developing bond between mother and child. Nature will take its course in transforming our bodies, friends, and family with purchasing baby paraphernalia and sharing excitement, but Mother will be bringing this soul onto the earth and introducing its spirit to love. Mother is the maker, and in doing so, she sacrifices her body to do just that.

From skipping stones and counting stars to climbing trees and telling stories, every moment is wrapped snugly in the certain warmth of a parent’s presence and God’s blessing. Download or read book Our Own Kind written by Anne de la Vergne Weiss and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2004-11-18 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our Own Kind is a World War II novel without the combat, a novel about the America the soldiers left behind. Anne Weiss depicts here in families of different social and income levels the effects of the war in daily experience as well as on the greater occasions of weddings and funerals. Hers is an Our Town view of an upstate New York town called Westerveldt, where the importance of the characters behavior and conversation is historically clear to us while dimly perceptible to them. They feel helplessly caught up in events they cant control. The Osterhoudts and Van Leuvens, the old established families, as well as the Sloanes and Mancusos in trade and contract work, see their sons dying overseas, their daughters marrying out of their own class, the war affecting their customs and privileges, all sorts of changes taking place in a world they thought they knew. As the author makes clear, this uncertainty and threat to their own kind affects everyone in the novel of every class and age. In a style of subtle understatement Anne Weiss shows her two main characters, Emily Osterhoudt, home from college, and Mary D. Van Leuven, still in high school, as shrewd inside observers forcing the action while resisting social pressure if not rebelling against circumstance and upbringing. Our Own Kind is a many-sided moving account of a World War II America that prefigures something of our more recent homeland anxieties.

She finds work in a castle not far from where she grew up as an old lord’s scribe, where she falls obsessively in love with his son Hugo. But Hugo is already married to a proud woman named Catherine. Driven to desperation by her desire, she summons the most dangerous powers Morach taught her, but quickly the passionate triangle of Alys, Hugo, and Catherine begins to explode, launching them into uncharted sexual waters. The magic Alys has conjured now has a life of its own—a life that is horrifyingly and disastrously out of control. Is she a witch? Download or read book Looking for Light from the Dark Side of the Moon written by Gordon L Ewell and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2015-09-23 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is the hope of both authors that everyone who reads this book may relate personally, in some way, to some of the poems contained in this book, and know that they are not alone in their feelings. Whether good feelings, or bad, the intent of this book of poetry is to let others know that their feelings are genuine, real, and they are not alone in the way they perceive any given situation. That there are others who share the same feelings that they do; and for better or worse, no one has to endure or suffer alone, nor keep quiet their feelings of success and victory. We all share common threads of emotions and are all lifted up by hearing of someone elses experiences; both successes and failures. Each of us has something to share, something we can relate to, and something of ourselves that we can pass along to others to make the road they are traveling on a little smoother than the person who went before them. We all indeed have something to share with each other. We all indeed have knowledge that someone can benefit from hearing about. It is to that end that we have composed this book of poetry and stand-alone thoughts; that someones day may be a little bit brighter, just knowing that they are not alone in the way they are thinking or feeling.
