Book Artificial Intelligence to Analyze Psychophysical and Human Lifestyle

Download or read book Artificial Intelligence to Analyze Psychophysical and Human Lifestyle written by Gunjan Chhabra and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-09-19 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about the use of technology/artificial intelligence in the areas of human behavior and psychology, health and nutrition, and fitness and sports. Everybody has his/her own lifestyle but may not necessarily be aware of what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. Knowledge gained from the Internet may be scattered and inaccurate and, if adhered to, may lead to loss of life. The COVID-19 pandemic increased people's awareness of the need for a healthy lifestyle but how to adopt a healthy lifestyle is something to be clarified since every individual is different (body type, situation, etc.), and hence, their needs will be different as well. This book addresses such questions and explores how the use of technology in the areas mentioned above can enable each individual to easily achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Book The Psychology of Artificial Superintelligence

Download or read book The Psychology of Artificial Superintelligence written by Joachim Diederich and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-05-20 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the psychological impact of advanced forms of artificial intelligence. How will it be to live with a superior intelligence? How will the exposure to highly developed artificial intelligence (AI) systems change human well-being? With a review of recent advancements in brain–computer interfaces, military AI, Explainable AI (XAI) and digital clones as a foundation, the experience of living with a hyperintelligence is discussed from the viewpoint of a clinical psychologist. The theory of universal solicitation is introduced, i.e. the demand character of a technology that wants to be used in all aspects of life. With a focus on human experience, and to a lesser extent on technology, the book is written for a general readership with an interest in psychology, technology and the future of our human condition. With its unique focus on psychological topics, the book offers contributions to a discussion on the future of human life beyond purely technological considerations.

Book Explainable AI Applications for Human Behavior Analysis

Download or read book Explainable AI Applications for Human Behavior Analysis written by P. Paramasivan and published by Engineering Science Reference. This book was released on 2024-05-20 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the field of computer vision research, the study of human behavior is a formidable challenge. The diverse applications of this field, from video surveillance for crowd analysis to healthcare diagnostics, have drawn increasing attention. However, a significant problem persists - the sacrifice of transparency for the sake of predictive accuracy in Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. These AI systems often operate as enigmatic black boxes, seemingly conjuring decisions from vast datasets with little to no explanation. The need for clarity and accountability in AI decision-making is paramount as our reliance on these systems continues to grow. Explainable AI Applications for Human Behavior Analysis embarks on a mission to harness AI's innate capability to elucidate upon its own decision-making processes. By focusing on facial expressions, gestures, and body movements, we delve into uncharted territories of research, offering novel methodologies, databases, benchmarks, and algorithms for the analysis of human behavior in natural settings. Geared toward academic scholars, this book compiles the expertise of leading researchers in the field, making it accessible to readers of all educational backgrounds.

Book The Quest for Artificial Intelligence

Download or read book The Quest for Artificial Intelligence written by Nils J. Nilsson and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2009-10-30 with total page 644 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Artificial intelligence (AI) is a field within computer science that is attempting to build enhanced intelligence into computer systems. This book traces the history of the subject, from the early dreams of eighteenth-century (and earlier) pioneers to the more successful work of today's AI engineers. AI is becoming more and more a part of everyone's life. The technology is already embedded in face-recognizing cameras, speech-recognition software, Internet search engines, and health-care robots, among other applications. The book's many diagrams and easy-to-understand descriptions of AI programs will help the casual reader gain an understanding of how these and other AI systems actually work. Its thorough (but unobtrusive) end-of-chapter notes containing citations to important source materials will be of great use to AI scholars and researchers. This book promises to be the definitive history of a field that has captivated the imaginations of scientists, philosophers, and writers for centuries.

Book Foundational Issues in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science

Download or read book Foundational Issues in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science written by M.H. Bickhard and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 1995-03-07 with total page 397 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book focuses on a conceptual flaw in contemporary artificial intelligence and cognitive science. Many people have discovered diverse manifestations and facets of this flaw, but the central conceptual impasse is at best only partially perceived. Its consequences, nevertheless, visit themselves as distortions and failures of multiple research projects - and make impossible the ultimate aspirations of the fields. The impasse concerns a presupposition concerning the nature of representation - that all representation has the nature of encodings: encodingism. Encodings certainly exist, but encodingism is at root logically incoherent; any programmatic research predicted on it is doomed too distortion and ultimate failure. The impasse and its consequences - and steps away from that impasse - are explored in a large number of projects and approaches. These include SOAR, CYC, PDP, situated cognition, subsumption architecture robotics, and the frame problems - a general survey of the current research in AI and Cognitive Science emerges. Interactivism, an alternative model of representation, is proposed and examined.
