Book Mindful Anger A Pathway to Emotional Freedom

Download or read book Mindful Anger A Pathway to Emotional Freedom written by Andrea Brandt and published by W. W. Norton & Company. This book was released on 2014-03-31 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How to release anger and reconnect to yourself using mindfulness techniques. Anger is one the most common human emotions, so if you’re not feeling it, then you’re probably unconsciously burying it. But anger that is buried isn’t actually gone. In fact, hidden or covert anger may be just as damaging as the overt, outwardly destructive kind, only it wreaks havoc from the inside-out. All sorts of physical and emotional problems can stem from suppressed anger: headaches, digestive problems, insomnia, just to name a few. Buried anger is expressed in a continuum, with rage and aggression at the top, and frustration, annoyance, irritation at the bottom, and everything in between. Unless this anger is addressed, it is impossible to overcome. This book urges readers to practice mindfulness-deliberately allowing physical sensations and emotions to surface so they can be examined and released. This sort of processing of anger-fully felt in the body as it happens, moved out through appropriate expression, and let go-will allow readers to process anger before it becomes unhealthy. Whether for you or your clients, this book offers simple tools of mindfulness to strengthen your connection with your inner world and learn to explore your anger, paying heed to the important messages it is sending.

Book excerpt: Continue reading if you wish to remove the negative ideas that produce anxiety and anger to live a more positive life... Human beings need not just physical health but also mental and emotional health to reach their full potential. Unfortunately, mental health disorders are not as readily identified as physical health problems, so individuals continue to live their lives while being mentally sick. Anxiety is the most frequent mental health problem. People who suffer from anxiety are often driven by a dread that limits their enjoyment. For example, they may avoid establishing contact with other humans out of fear of being judged or thought less of. Most individuals confess to having anxiety at some time in life but do not seek treatment. The most significant obstacle to addressing mental health disorders is a lack of public awareness. Even in first-world countries, there is a substantial disparity between the number of people suffering from rage and those seeking treatment from mental health professionals. The combination of anxiety and fury may impact the victim's life. They frequently lead the victim to acquire characteristics that make it difficult for them to integrate into society. Among the topics covered in this complete guide are: How to Recognize Anxiety and Anger Physical Signs and Symptoms The most effective methods for resolving problems in your life Suggestions for dealing with rage and anxiety How to Get Rid of Negative Thoughts Practical strategies for dealing with anxiety and rage The most effective methods for boosting self-esteem Change your viewpoint to eliminate stress and rage. Effective ways to enhance your life's quality And a lot more! Even though worry and anger have previously dominated your life, you can undoubtedly overcome them and live a very happy life. Book Anger Management

Download or read book Anger Management written by Dorothy Mok and published by . This book was released on 2020-03-02 with total page 66 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anger is the root of much hate and chaos in our society. Often, we can tie all negative societal experiences back to anger, ranging from wars to hate crimes and even day to day acts of unkindness toward each other on a personal level. With how much destruction anger has caused, it is easy to think that anger is a "bad" thing and to believe that we need to eradicate it entirely in order to experience happy, peaceful lives. This couldn't be further from the truth. Anger is a natural emotion, though how we express it is not always natural. Often, as children we are taught that anger is bad and so we are forced to try to suppress it, hide it, or otherwise prevent it from surfacing. As we try to hide our own, we are also exposed to the toxic anger of adults who's own attempts at suppressing their anger are starting to fail. As a result, we experience massive imbalances in our ability to experience and express anger. The truth is, it doesn't have to be this way. You can learn how to navigate anger and all of the emotions that come with it, including stress and anxiety, so that you can begin to experience healthy emotional expression. The key to doing this is through learning about and increasing your emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence offers you the ability to see your anger for what it is, heal the excess anger you carry, and navigate future bouts of anger more peacefully. Truthfully, it is the missing key that our society desperately needs when it comes to dealing with anger! In Anger Management: Reduce Anger, Stress, Anxiety. Book Dyadic Coping A Collection of Recent Studies

Download or read book Dyadic Coping A Collection of Recent Studies written by Guy Bodenmann and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2019-09-25 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dyadic coping is a concept that has reached increased attention in psychological science within the last 20 years. Dyadic coping conceptualizes the way couples cope with stress together in sharing appraisals of demands, planning together how to deal with the stressors and engage in supportive or joint dyadic coping. Among the different theories of dyadic coping, the Systemic Transactional Model (STM; Bodenmann, 1995, 1997, 2005) has been applied to many studies on couples’ coping with stress. While a recent meta-analysis shows that dyadiccoping is a robust and consistent predictor of relationship satisfaction and couple’s functioning in community samples, some studies also reveal the significance of dyadic coping in dealing with psychological disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety) or severe illness (e.g., cancer, diabetes, COPD, etc.). Researchers all over the world build their research on this or other concepts of dyadic coping and many typically use the Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI) for assessing dyadic coping. So far, research on dyadic coping has been systematically presented in two books, one written by Revenson, Kayser, & Bodenmann in 2005, focussing on emerging perspectives on couples’ coping, the other by Falconier, Randall, & Bodenmann more recently in 2016, addressing intercultural aspects of dyadic coping in African, American, Asian and European couples. This eBook gives an insight into recent dyadic coping research in different areas and countries.

Anger is, without a doubt, one of the most difficult emotions to talk about. In many of our cultures, anger is viewed with fear and suspicion due to the ways in which it manifests. It is, therefore very essential that we gain a clear understanding of anger and the influence it has on our lives. This book was born in an effort to demystify this very potent emotion. Download or read book Anxiety and Anger written by Grace Ally and published by . This book was released on 2020-02-06 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you want to take control of your life using this step by step guide to learn cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce anxiety, panic attack and manage anger? If yes, then keep reading... Studies have revealed that if a person is able to identify and label emotions in a correct way, and also talk about them in a straight forward manner to the point of feeling understood; it is easier for him/her to make negative feelings dissipate. Consequently, the psychological arousal that occurs from such feelings also disappears dramatically. However, when the society is unable to look at anger constructively thus deeming it totally unacceptable, people stays in a state of emotional arousal because they cannot label what they are feeling as anger. We become unable to pay attention to the things going on around us. Furthermore, we are unable to constructively express anger. This book gives a comprehensive guide on the following: Signs and Symptoms of Anger Advantages of Meditation Anger in Children Anger in Teens Meditation Social Skills for Anger Management Evaluating your thoughts and feelings Healthy Outlets for your Anger Overview of Anger Management Techniques Anger Disorder Professional Help Emotional Intelligence and Its Effect on Stress How to get rid of unpleasant memories with EMDR Herbal Supplements Time Management and Schedules Coping with Phobias Tapping and Acupressure ... AND MORE!!! The denial makes us unable to understand and regulate our behavior because we stay focused on the inner emotional state. In fact, we tend to experience excessive physical arousal in situations where negative emotions are involved. However, because of the taboos, we do not show any external signs of anger or negative emotional response. Imagine how confusing that is for a friend or spouse. It is also confusing for us. In some cases, however, we experience feelings of relief after opening up and sharing with someone about our anger and its cause. Psychologists say that this kind of intense relief is experienced because, instead of venting OR expressing ourselves in an unconstructive way, we acknowledge the circumstances leading to our emotional state and constructively work towards finding a solution. And that positivity points towards the benefits of anger. It acts as a motivator for us to change. Anger encourages us to speak about the things bothering us and find solutions. However, people with anger management issues (getting angry often) can become ill because of the unregulated physical reactions. Just like stress left unmanaged, anger too can make a person ill. Anger can be good when expressed in a healthy way and addressed quickly. In fact, under certain circumstances, anger can help one to think rationally. However, unhealthy anger will wreak havoc within your body and also to the people around you. When you hold anger in for long periods, it will explode into a full rage. If you have unhealthy episodes of anger or you are prone to losing your anger every so often, below are some of the reasons you should learn anger management. What are you waiting for?
