Je me propose de donner ici un apercu succinct des resultats obtenus. I. Sur la presence de l'acetone dans quelques plantes. En soumettant a la distillation les feuilles de l'Hevea brasiliensis Mull. Arg., arbre de la famille des Euphorbiacees fournissant le Caoutchouc du commerce dit Para et cultive au Jardin d'essai de Tjikeumeuh, on obtient un liquide exhalant fortement l'odeur de l'acide cyanhydrique. Apres elimination de cette substance au moyen d'oxyde de mercure, les eaux distillees donnerent par quelques distillations repetees un liquide dont l'odeur rappelle celle de l'acetone et qui produit avec l'iode et la potasse ou l'ammoniaque un precipite abondant d'iodoforme.
