This book was released on 2016-09-20 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn the Inspiring Story of the Indianapolis Colts' Star Quarterback Andrew Luck! Read on your PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet or Kindle device! In Andrew Luck: The Inspiring Story of One of Football's Star Quarterbacks, you will learn the inspirational story of one of football's premier quarterbacks, Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck entered the league as one of the most promising prospects in recent league history. Some analysts said he was the best prospect they had ever scouted. To date, he has lived up to much of his hype. While he is just a few years into his career, Luck has demonstrated a seemingly innate ability to pass out of the pocket and lead an offense. It should come as no surprise that Luck made headlines in 2016 when he signed a contract extension with the Colts, which made him the highest paid player at the time in the league. Read on to learn about Andrew Luck's journey through the years as he grew up to become the player and man that he is today. Here is a preview of what is inside this book: Childhood and Early Years High School Years at Stratford High College Years at Stanford University 2012 NFL Draft and Career with the Indianapolis Colts Andrew Luck's Personal Life Conclusion An excerpt from the book: Andrew Austen W. Luck was born in Washington, D.C. on September 12, 1989, to lawyers Oliver Luck and the former Kathy Wilson. He is the oldest of four children. His sisters, Mary Ellen and Emily, and brother Addison, soon followed. Football is in Andrew's genes. His dad was a history major and big-name quarterback when he played for the West Virginia Mountaineers. He was also very smart, and earned a 4.0 GPA. According to YourHoustonNews.com's Pam Gibbens, Luck was a Rhodes Scholar finalist, a National Football Foundation scholar, and a two-time Academic All-American. The Houston Oilers drafted Oliver Luck 44th overall in the 1982 NFL Draft. He would become entrenched as Warren Moon's backup, per Rolling Stone's Matt Taibi. At the time, Gibbens stressed that the average NFL player earned just $120,000 per year, a figure which pales in comparison to the millions today's players make. She even notes that some NFL stars made less than $100,000 during Oliver Luck's era. The senior Luck - a native of Cleveland, Ohio - attributed his athletic prowess to his German-born mother. "My dad was actually clumsy," Oliver Luck told Gibbens in September 2005. "But he loved watching his kids play sports. I was one of four children. There were three boys and one girl. Both of my parents were chemical engineers." He also emphasized his father, William, was not interested in football or sports, for that matter. In fact, ESPN's Chris Jones wrote that William Luck was surprised his son went on to play high school football in Northeast Ohio. The family did not watch football on television. Oliver Luck putting his pads on during his adolescent years came as a mild shock to his parents. This short unauthorized biography of Tom Brady highlights the greatest moments of his career. Since entering the league with a chip on his shoulder, Tom Brady has cemented himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game of football through his extensive impact on the New England Patriots dynasty. In this book, we'll explore Tom Brady's journey to the NFL, as well as his impact on the game. Here is a preview of what is inside this book: Childhood and Early Life High School Years College Years at University of Michigan Tom Brady's NFL Career A Brady Dynasty Decade with No Championship Breaking the Hump: 2014-2015 Season Deflate-Gate Controversy Tom Brady's Legacy An excerpt from the book: Tom Brady has accomplished a lot in 15 seasons in the National Football League - as starting quarterback for the New England Patriots and taking over for legendary Drew Bledsoe, Most Valuable Player in the NFL for multiple seasons, one of three quarterbacks in history with four Super Bowl championship victories and several appearances in the league's annual Pro Bowl game. Let us also throw in some major motion picture appearances, a few hit television shows like Saturday Night Live and Family Guy, and is considered by many as one of the faces of today's NFL. With all of the positives in the past 15 years, there has been recent news and controversies surrounding Brady and the Patriots organization which have led some to question the integrity of Brady's legacy. The Deflate-Gate controversy questions whether Brady had an unfair advantage throwing with under-inflated footballs during New England's 45-7 win against the Indianapolis Colts in the 2015 AFC Championship game. Such controversy puts to question how the game would have played out differently otherwise and possibly change the outcome of Super Bowl XLIX where New England defeated the Seattle Seahawks, the defending champions from the previous season, 28-24. However, others opine that Brady's numbers would not have made a difference in the grand scheme of events since the Colts only scored seven points in a game where the Patriots had three touchdowns from their running back LeGarrett Blount. They chose Luck as their new quarterback to replace Peyton Manning, one of football's modern greats, from their team. Andrew showed that he brought more than luck to the game. This "football nerd" was the son of two lawyers and a pro-football player dad, Oliver Luck. Andrew had graduated at the top of his high school class. He earned as many MVPs on the college field as he did praise from his professors. And in the 2012 NFL season, Luck became the only first-year, number-one draft-pick quarterback, ever, to lead his team to the playoffs. As Luck would have it, this red-hot rookie is just getting started.

While Joe Burrow's professional career is still young at the time of this writing, he has already accomplished a lot. That said, there is still much of his story to be told. Before his speech, not many people knew a lot about Burrow other than the fact he had perhaps the most incredible college season of any quarterback in history and was on his way to leading the LSU Tigers to a perfect season and national championship. But it was Burrow's speech that was as inspirational as any from an athlete accepting an award. People who did not know him were opened up to him and found him to be one of the most humble, most respectable, and most gracious athletes of all time. And, as his statistics showed, one of the best as well. Burrow struck a chord with millions of Americans as he stood in front of the microphone. It was perhaps some 30 seconds before he spoke his first word, overcome by emotion and wiping tears from his eyes. Most Heisman speeches are rehearsed, with notes so athletes can remember who to thank and what to say. But Burrow spoke straight from the heart--no notes, no prepared speech, no teleprompter. He was as real as anyone could be and his emotion could be felt in the room and all across the world. Burrow struggled through those first couple of minutes, fighting back tears as he thanked his coaches, his players, and his family for making him the person he was and graciously acknowledging them for all that they did. After that, he went straight to the young generation of America. He reached out to you. Did you enjoy this excerpt? However, over the last year, a new name has emerged and potentially topped that list: Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore Ravens star quarterback has taken the NFL by storm with his ability to make remarkable and mind-blowing plays with both his arm and his legs and has already broken dozens of NFL records with more certainly to follow. There have been successful running quarterbacks in the NFL before. Roger Staubach is probably one of the first names that come to mind for many old school fans for his scrambling ability. But in terms of ethnicity, it was Randall Cunningham who really paved the way for black quarterbacks to excel in the league with how he was able to generate plays with his arm and feet. Since then, guys like Steve McNair, Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Warren Moon, Donovan McNabb, and Russell Wilson have come along, making the black quarterback a weapon and asset in the league. The unfortunate and, at times, racist, criticism aimed at a lot of black quarterbacks in past eras has been that "their accuracy does not match their running ability." Doug Williams and Warren Moon were accurate passers but were not as big a running threat as Cunningham. Vick's speed transcended the game to a new level, but his accuracy was his biggest detriment. Old stereotypes and racial barriers have been broken and transcended as mindsets evolve. Today, guys like Wilson and Murray are becoming MVP-like quarterbacks with how they can run and throw accurately. And now along comes Lamar Jackson, who is performing at such a remarkable level and at such a young age that he may very well someday eclipse them all. Did you enjoy this excerpt?
