Book Complex Analysis and Geometry

Download or read book Complex Analysis and Geometry written by Pierre Dolbeault and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This meeting has been motivated by two events: the 85th birthday of Pierre Lelong, and the end of the third year of the European network "Complex analysis and analytic geometry" from the programme Human Capital and Mobility. For the first event, Mathematicians from Poland, Sweden, United States and France, whose work is particularly related to the one ofP. Lelong have accepted to participate; for the second, the different teams of the Network sent lecturers to report on their most recent works. These teams are from Grenoble, Wuppertal, Berlin, Pisa and Paris VI; in fact, most of their results are also related to Lelong's work and, a posteriori, it is difficult to decide whether a talk is motivated by the first or by the second event. We chose only plenary lectures, usually of one hour, except a small number, given by young mathematicians, which have been shorter. A two hours problem session has been organized. The Proceedings gather papers which are exact texts of the talks, or are closely related to them. The members from the Network and five other lecturers sent us papers; the other lecturers published the content of their talks in mathematical Journals. All the presented texts have been submitted to referees independent of the organizing committee; the texts of the problems have been approved by their authors.

Book Introduction to Holomorphy

Download or read book Introduction to Holomorphy written by J.A. Barroso and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2000-04-01 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a set of basic properties of holomorphic mappings between complex normed spaces and between complex locally convex spaces. These properties have already achieved an almost definitive form and should be known to all those interested in the study of infinite dimensional Holomorphy and its applications. The author also makes ``incursions'' into the study of the topological properties of the spaces of holomorphic mappings between spaces of infinite dimension. An attempt is then made to show some of the several topologies that can naturally be considered in these spaces.Infinite dimensional Holomorphy appears as a theory rich in fascinating problems and rich in applications to other branches of Mathematics and Mathematical Physics.

Book Analyse Complexe Syst mes Dynamiques Sommabilit Des S ries Divergentes Et Th ories Galoisiennes

Download or read book Analyse Complexe Syst mes Dynamiques Sommabilit Des S ries Divergentes Et Th ories Galoisiennes written by Michèle Loday-Richaud and published by SMF. This book was released on 2004 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This first of two bound volumes present the proceedings of the conference, Complex Analysis, Dynamical Systems, Summability of Divergent Series and Galois Theories, held in Toulouse on the occasion of J.-P. Ramis' sixtieth birthday. The first volume opens with two articles composed of recollections and three articles on J.-P. Ramis' works on complex analysis and ODE theory, both linear and non-linear. This introduction is followed by papers concerned with Galois theories, arithmetic or integrability: analogies between differential and arithmetical theories, $q$-difference equations, classical or $p$-adic, the Riemann-Hilbert problem and renormalization, $b$-functions, descent problems, Krichever modules, the set of integrability, Drach theory, and the VI${}^{{th}}$ Painleve equation. The second volume contains papers dealing with analytical or geometrical aspects: Lyapunov stability, asymptotic and dynamical analysis for pencils of trajectories, monodromy in moduli spaces, WKB analysis and Stokes geometry, first and second Painleve equations, normal forms for saddle-node type singularities, and invariant tori for PDEs. The volumes are suitable for graduate students and researchers interested in differential equations, number theory, geometry, and topology.

Book Normal Families and Normal Functions

Download or read book Normal Families and Normal Functions written by Peter V. Dovbush and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2024-02-27 with total page 733 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book centers on normal families of holomorphic and meromorphic functions and also normal functions. The authors treat one complex variable, several complex variables, and infinitely many complex variables (i.e., Hilbert space). The theory of normal families is more than 100 years old. It has played a seminal role in the function theory of complex variables. It was used in the first rigorous proof of the Riemann mapping theorem. It is used to study automorphism groups of domains, geometric analysis, and partial differential equations. The theory of normal families led to the idea, in 1957, of normal functions as developed by Lehto and Virtanen. This is the natural class of functions for treating the Lindelof principle. The latter is a key idea in the boundary behavior of holomorphic functions. This book treats normal families, normal functions, the Lindelof principle, and other related ideas. Both the analytic and the geometric approaches to the subject area are offered. The authors include many incisive examples. The book could be used as the text for a graduate research seminar. It would also be useful reading for established researchers and for budding complex analysts.
