Book An Ant Measured an Ant Five Feet Six Inches

Download or read book An Ant Measured an Ant Five Feet Six Inches written by Ashok Sharda and published by Partridge Publishing. This book was released on 2018-09-21 with total page 484 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Ant Measured an Ant—Five Feet Six Inches is a story of two genius ants that can read and speak human language, who are well versed in all the branches of human knowledge. By virtue of the law of accident, the author and the ants run into each other and develop a lasting friendship. In the course of their interactions, the ants tell him how, by a twist of fate, they got their potential back that the ant species had lost in the dark of history. They turned the act of fate into a conscious act. In their own words, ‘what we are today is the consequential effect of the activated buffered code aided by the consequential effect of our own conscious efforts. It’s not the brain size or mass ratio but how you use your intelligence and what role nature has played in determining your potentials or putting a buffer between you and your potential at a later date, owing to non-use or misuse. This, the ants claim, will become the very cause of the fall of mankind. The known history of ants thus will become the future of mankind. The author is convinced that the very causes that buffered ants’ potentials once upon a time will block human potentials too, unless, of course, humans realize this predicament in the offing before it is too late. This novel, in a sense, is a wake-up call.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘Feeble Creature’ is arrested and charged with committing a crime under several penal codes for causing disruption and chaos by inflicting unfounded fear among the masses. His crime is writing and circulating four articles taking an extreme contrarian view that humankind is suffering from ‘progeria’, the rarest of rare diseases known to medical science. In his defense before the court of justice, he says- “I sincerely desired to infuse the real meaning of ‘living’ in the psyche of mankind so that they may battle out the death inflicted by this metaphysical ailment I conveniently call ‘Progeria’. I haven’t committed any crime in doing so by expressing my conviction, cautioning and alerting the commoners to take notice. It is up to them to take notice, realize and act or ignore the warning” This novel depicts the very cause that has led mankind to this lethal metaphysical ailment, the author termed as ‘metaphysical progeria’. The author has also ventured to present a possible remedy, who only the rarest of the rare may chance to put into application. He does this by taking readers on a short journey aboard a train, a perfect analogy for the journey of life as passengers seems ever waiting for the next, an assumed time, projecting data internalized from dead past. The author dares to write an obituary of the metaphysical demise of mankind, unravelling how he arrives at this conclusion. The author believes, however, that those who choose themselves still have a chance to rise from their metaphysical graves.

Book Toss of Coin

  • Pages : 369 pages

Download or read book Toss of Coin written by Ashok Sharda and published by Partridge Publishing. This book was released on 2019-05-13 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Toss of Coin is an anthology of stories intended to reevaluate human relationship with their god, fellow beings, animals, and plants. Centuries together, people have lived without establishing any kind of real communication. The invariable underlying reason is a conditioned, self-centered mind that closes all doors and windows that lead one to the other. The other in relationship becomes object of subjective convenience. They turn into a replaceable commodity—A is equal to B is equal to C is equal to D, and if D is unavailable can be replaced by C and so on. In normal course, relationship is a happening guided by three metaphysical laws, epitomized by the toss of coin. People become prey to their own internalized self-hypnotic autosuggestions: He or she has light brown hair and eyes, he or she has confident masculine or feminine strides, and they see the aura. Incidentally, the color of the eyes and hair remain, the big frame and the strides remain, and yet the aura turns into that of an abominable bummer when the law turns friend into foe. Relations commencing from akinness of vibrations are built on different footing, developed on some different levels, and is everlasting. Such relationships don’t confine to one of umpteen selves but one’s whole being. Unfortunately, humans are fond of nomenclaturing relationships but have failed to traverse the path where they can meet one another. They have failed to realize that a good father only exists when exists a bad father. Humans, owing to their insensitive, egocentric, and violent character traits have failed to establish any kind of relationship with animals and plants who live around us. In three of the stories, the author emphasizes the need to extend ‘human’ hand in love to win their trust. These stories are real-life stories—if not in the depiction of the events, in author’s experience—seen not through two normal eyes but on some different dimension personifying the whole experience. His approach to any happening is metaphysical.

Book excerpt: In Divine Justice, the author has ventured to ‘see’ and evaluate justice system in the frame work of the ‘laws’ beyond space and time. His ‘seeing’ transcends all written laws- scribered or statute, applicable to various regions in different times and presents a scene in which human looks absolutely hapless defending a trial initiated against him with a predetermined judgment. The hero, arrested and detained, struggles to find his way out of the process of law, in his endeavour to find acquittal. He can sense the long tentacles of the law reaching for him. His interactions with various jail inmates, followed by a counsellor show him no ‘way’ that will enlighten his path for a permanent acquittal. Eventually, he finds a possibility of a ‘way’ to jump the invisible high walls of the infinite jail from a mysterious character known as ‘invisible man’. But it’s too late by now because his day of judgment has arrived. He is fated to die like a dog, a fate no different than K’s, the hero of Kafka’s Trial. ‘A’, the ill-fated hero questions the very invincibility of the law, the choice-less-ness in each happening or unhappening that affects his life. Desperate, he cries out at one point: ‘how can I break a law when the laws allows me no cushioning to break any law, when law determines where I am and what I am doing at any given point of time, when desires, commanded by laws, rises from the pit of my core and commands me…when my hands are not my hands, my legs are not my legs….Why should I be punished for a happening when I had no conscious choice in this happening?’ At some other place he argues: ‘it’s hard to accept the laws of the jail once you become aware of the horror of your situation in the wake of the realization you are in jail.’ Authors is conscious of individualistic approach to issues confronting the mankind, He speaks out in no uncertain words through the mouth of yet another co-accused: ‘I know I spoke profanity. In the kind of turmoil, I am do you think I really care. Two hoots for this creation.
