Download or read book Routing Algorithms in Networks on Chip written by Maurizio Palesi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 411 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a single-source reference to routing algorithms for Networks-on-Chip (NoCs), as well as in-depth discussions of advanced solutions applied to current and next generation, many core NoC-based Systems-on-Chip (SoCs). After a basic introduction to the NoC design paradigm and architectures, routing algorithms for NoC architectures are presented and discussed at all abstraction levels, from the algorithmic level to actual implementation. Download or read book Hypercube Algorithms written by Sanjay Ranka and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fundamentals algorithms for SIMD and MIMD hypercubes are developed. These include algorithms for such problems as data broadcasting, data sum, prefix sum, shift, data circulation, data accumulation, sorting, random access reads and writes and data permutation. The fundamental algorithms are then used to obtain efficient hypercube algorithms for matrix multiplication, image processing problems such as convolution, template matching, hough transform, clustering and image processing transformation, and string editing. Most of the algorithms in this book are for hypercubes with the number of processors being a function of problems size. However, for image processing problems, the book also includes algorithms for and MIMD hypercube with a small number of processes. Experimental results on an NCUBE/77 MIMD hypercube are also presented. The book is suitable for use in a one-semester or one-quarter course on hypercube algorithms. For students with no prior exposure to parallel algorithms, it is recommended that one week will be spent on the material in chapter 1, about six weeks on chapter 2 and one week on chapter 3. The remainder of the term can be spent covering topics from the rest of the book.

Download or read book Parallel and Distributed Processing and Applications written by Jiannong Cao and published by Springer. This book was released on 2005-01-17 with total page 1080 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Welcometotheproceedingsofthe2ndInternationalSymposiumonParalleland Distributed Processing and Applications (ISPA2004) which was held in Hong Kong, China, 13–15 December, 2004. With the advance of computer networks and hardware technology, parallel and distributed processing has become a key technology which plays an imp- tant part in determining future research and development activities in many academic and industrial branches. It provides a means to solve computati- ally intensive problems by improving processing speed. It is also the only - ableapproachtobuildinghighlyreliableandinherentlydistributedapplications. ISPA2004 provided a forum for scientists and engineers in academia and ind- try to exchange and discuss their experiences, new ideas, research results, and applications about all aspects of parallel and distributed computing. There was a very large number of paper submissions (361) from 26 countries and regions, including not only Asia and the Paci?c, but also Europe and North America. All submissions were reviewed by at least three program or technical committee members or external reviewers. It was extremely di?cult to select the presentations for the conference because there were so many excellent and interesting submissions. In order to allocate as many papers as possible and keep the high quality of the conference, we ?nally decided to accept 78 regular papers and 38 short papers for oral technical presentations. We believe that all of these papers and topics not only provide novel ideas, new results, work in progress and state-of-the-art techniques in this ?eld, but also stimulate the future research activities in the area of parallel and distributed computing with applications.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the proceedings of the 10th annual event of the International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP). ICA3PP is recognized as the main regular event covering the many dimensions of parallel algorithms and architectures, encompassing fundamental theoretical - proaches, practical experimental projects, and commercial components and systems. As applications of computing systems have permeated every aspect of daily life, the power of computing systems has become increasingly critical. Therefore, ICA3PP 2010 aimed to permit researchers and practitioners from industry to exchange inf- mation regarding advancements in the state of the art and practice of IT-driven s- vices and applications, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future directions of parallel processing. We received a total of 157 submissions this year, showing by both quantity and quality that ICA3PP is a premier conference on parallel processing. In the first stage, all papers submitted were screened for their relevance and general submission - quirements. These manuscripts then underwent a rigorous peer-review process with at least three reviewers per paper. In the end, 47 papers were accepted for presentation and included in the main proceedings, comprising a 30% acceptance rate.
