His clients started dropping their policies and going with other agents at the office behind his back, and before he had a chance to react he was called into his boss’s office and let go. Bill said to his boss “That’s not fair, I have worked harder than anyone else in this office, and been on top longer than anyone else, and now this is the thanks I get!” “Bill, I’m sorry, but this is business and you know you have quotas to meet, and if you’re not meeting those numbers, well you know what I mean.” Please understand you’ve been valuable to the company for many years but I have to have dependable agents that can keep getting those numbers for the company.
