Book Alcohol Drink Is Not Sin

Download or read book Alcohol Drink Is Not Sin written by Scribe Of Christ and published by Clube de Autores. This book was released on 2021-04-26 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book was not written to combat alcoholism. But the lying preaching of Christian leaders who say that drinking wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages is a sin. Nothing more liar. Only sick minds can think this way after reading the Bible. The Bible glorifies wine as a blessed drink. The wine represents the blood of Jesus. Wine was the first product of the earth after the new post-flood world. Turning water into wine was Jesus first miracle. But it is not only wine that the Bible blesses. In Old Testament worship oblations were offered to God, which consisted of pouring alcohol on the altar in sacrifice to God. Wine was for Jews, what coffee is for Brazilians, and what sandwich is for Americans. When I see theologians and pastors advocating the compulsory abstinence of alcohol, I only understand by two biases: The supreme ignorance of the Bible, for these people walk with the Bible under their arm, but do not even know what is written in it ... And secondly Instead the intellectual dishonesty that characterizes human beings, who instead of seeking the truth, prefer to defend their ideological positions, using in bad faith, creating versions for facts and truths. As for sin and the severity of alcoholism, I will deal with it in another volume.

Book Why We re Catholic

  • Pages : 240 pages

Download or read book Why We re Catholic written by Trent Horn and published by Catholic Answers Press. This book was released on 2017-05 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "How can you believe all this stuff? This is the number-one question Catholics get asked and, sometimes, we ask ourselves. Why do we believe that God exists, that he became a man and came to save us, that what looks like a wafer of bread is actually his body? Why do we believe that he inspired a holy book and founded an infallible Church to teach us the one true way to live? Ever since he became Catholic, Trent Horn has spent a lot of time answering these questions, trying to explain to friends, family, and total strangers the reasons for his Catholic faith. Some didn't believe in God, or even in the existence of truth. Others said they were spiritual but didn't think you needed religion to be happy. Some were Christians who thought Catholic doctrines over-complicated the pure gospel. And some were fellow Catholics who had a hard time understanding everything they professed to believe on Sunday. Why We're Catholic assembles the clearest, friendliest, most helpful answers that Trent learned to give to all these people and more. Beginning with how we can know reality and ending with our hope of eternal life, it s the perfect way to help skeptics and seekers (or Catholics who want to firm up their faith) understand the evidence that bolsters our belief and brings us joy" --

Book Reformission

    Book Details:
  • Author : Mark Driscoll
  • Publisher : Zondervan
  • Release : 2013-12-03
  • ISBN : 0310518008
  • Pages : 188 pages

Download or read book Reformission written by Mark Driscoll and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2013-12-03 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If the unchurched in the United States ever formed their own country, it would be the world’s eleventh most populous nation. Reformission is a call to reform a flawed view of missions—as something we only do in foreign lands—to focus on the urgent needs in our own neighborhoods, filled with diverse Americans who desperately need the Gospel of Jesus and life in his Church. It calls for a movement of missionaries who seek the lost across the street, as well as across the globe. Many evangelical churches today are either hostile to the unbelieving world in which they live, or so friendly with the surrounding culture that they have lost the unique claims of the gospel that alone have the power to change people. This basic primer on the interface between gospel and culture by #1 New York Times bestselling author and pastor Mark Driscoll will help you to carefully navigate between the twin pitfalls of syncretism (being so culturally irrelevant that you lose your message) and sectarianism (being so culturally irrelevant that you lose your mission). If you’re more convinced today than ever that this crazy, sin-sick world needs a Savior, Reformission will show you how to love the Lord through the unchanging gospel, and love your neighbor in our ever-changing culture.
