Book AESQ Quality Management System Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations

Download or read book AESQ Quality Management System Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations written by G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Committee and published by . This book was released on 2021 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This standard establishes supplemental requirements for 9100 and 9145 and applies to any organization receiving it as part of a Purchase Order or other contractual document from a customer.AS13100 also provides details of the Reference Materials (RM13xxx) developed by the SAE G-22 AESQ committee and listed in Section 2 - Applicable Documents, that can also be used by organizations in conjunction with this standard. This standard has been created by the SAE G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Technical Committee to harmonize and simplify supplier quality requirements that are in addition to the requirements of 9100 Quality Management Systems - Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Organizations and 9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.Previously the Aerospace Engine Manufacturers based their supplier quality requirements on 9100 but had differing supplemental requirements and guidance albeit with largely the same intent. These supplemental requirements originate from the need to meet Regulatory, Customer, Industry, and Business requirements that are not explicitly covered by 9100 and 9145.This standard sets out to create a common set of supplemental requirements with common reference materials to improve understanding, efficiency, and performance. While significantly simplifying the businesses of suppliers with multiple customers, the primary intent of this new standard is to improve overall product quality by focusing on the key systems and processes currently deterring consistent aerospace engine product quality. These common supplemental requirements aim to raise the bar for anticipated performance in these key areas, and therefore detailed guidance is provided to ensure clarity of expectations.

This book was released on 2012 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This standard includes ISO 9001:20081 quality management system requirements and specifies additional aviation maintenance industry requirements, definitions, and notes as shown in bold, italic text.NOTE: Baseline aviation maintenance requirements originate from IAQG developed 9100:2009 standard; modifications were made, as required, to address maintenance industry specific requirements. It is emphasized that the requirements specified in this standard are complementary (not alternative) to contractual and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Should there be a conflict between the requirements of this standard and applicable statutory or regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence. This International Standard specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization: aneeds to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and baims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.NOTE 1: In this International Standard, the term "product" only applies to aproduct intended for, or required by, a customer, bany intended output resulting from the product realization processes.NOTE 2: Statutory and regulatory requirements can be expressed as legal requirements. This standard has been revised to address stakeholder needs through the addition of definitions and clarification of existing requirements to resolve interpretation issues, and incorporate editorial corrections.

Book Measurement Systems Analysis Requirements for the Aero Engine Supply Chain

Download or read book Measurement Systems Analysis Requirements for the Aero Engine Supply Chain written by G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Committee and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This standard defines the minimum requirements for conducting Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) for variable and attribute assessment on characteristics as defined on the drawing or specification. It does not define the detailed analytical methods for each type of study as these can be found in existing published texts (see Section 2 for guidance). The aerospace industry is heavily reliant on inspection to ensure that parts and assemblies delivered to the purchaser meet drawing requirements. There are many differing requirements across the aero engine supply chain, therefore, this standard is intended to harmonize these requirements into a single approach. The determination of what needs to be inspected is covered in a separate standard AS13002.This standard defines the essential requirements to establish acceptable measurement systems (for variable and attribute features) for use on aero engine parts and assemblies.

Book Supplier Self Release Training Requirements

Download or read book Supplier Self Release Training Requirements written by G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Committee and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The standard applies to aero engine suppliers operating a self-release process as a delegated activity from the delegating organization. While primarily developed around the aero engine supply chain requirements, this standard can also be used in other industry sectors where a self-release process may be of benefit. Many OEMs within the aerospace industry operate a self-release process whereby a supplier is able to ship products to the delegating organization without additional oversight by a representative of that organization. Currently each OEM manages their own training program for the individuals who conduct the self-release overcheck, and hence suppliers must manage the multiple training needs of its customer base. The training content for self-release is largely the same, and hence an opportunity exists to consolidate the various programs into a single, common training standard.

Book Requirements for Certification of Aviation Space and Defense Quality Management Systems

Download or read book Requirements for Certification of Aviation Space and Defense Quality Management Systems written by G-14 Americas Aerospace Quality Standards Committee (AAQSC) and published by . This book was released on 2022 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This standard defines the industry-accepted requirements for the ICOP scheme, which provides confidence to ASD customers, that organizations with certification of their QMS, issued by accredited CBs, meet applicable AQMS standard requirements. The requirements in this standard are applicable to all participants in the ICOP scheme. If there is a conflict between the requirements of this standard, and customer or applicable statutory/regulatory requirements, the latter shall take precedence. In early 2000, the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) developed the Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) scheme to support the certification of Aviation, Space, and Defense (ASD) organization's Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS). The scheme was built upon the existing International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) requirements for certification of an organization's Quality Management System (QMS).The ICOP scheme and ISO/IEC requirements have changed over time, this revision incorporates those changes and strengthens the alignment between industry and current IAF requirements. Furthermore, this standard was revised to align with the latest revisions to the other ICOP scheme requirements documents.

Book Requirements for Developing and Qualifying Alternate Inspection Frequency Plans

Download or read book Requirements for Developing and Qualifying Alternate Inspection Frequency Plans written by G-22 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Committee and published by . This book was released on 2015 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This document covers the process to be applied to design characteristics (as defined in AS9102), parts or inspection processes as defined by the purchaser. Design characteristics not included within the scope include electronic, electromechanical or mechanical systems where alternative means of acceptance are approved such as through acceptance test procedures (ATPs). This document does not define processes for identifying or communicating the classification of the parts or design characteristics. This document does not define the procedure to qualify a supplier to undertake these requirements. It is expected that each purchaser will have a procedure to manage the flow-down of these requirements. This document applies to suppliers that demonstrate adequate proficiency in applicable process control methods as determined by the purchaser. Aero-engine companies currently have their own requirements for Inspection Frequency which are very similar. A single standard would be more efficient for suppliers. The following standard is a consolidation of these methods to allow for a singular standard for Developing Inspection plans other than 100% inspection of all features.

Book Acoustical Materials

Download or read book Acoustical Materials written by Pranab Saha and published by SAE International. This book was released on 2021-08-11 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is acoustics? What is noise? How is sound measured? How can the vehicle noise be reduced using sound package treatments? Pranab Saha answers these and more in Acoustical Materials. Acoustics is the science of sound, including its generation, propagation, and effect. Although the propulsion sources of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric motor-powered vehicles (EV) are different and therefore their propulsion noises are different, both types of vehicles have shared noise concerns: Tire and road noise Wind noise Vehicle noise and vibration issues have been there almost from the inception of vehicle manufacturing. The noise problem in a vehicle is very severe and is difficult to solve only by modifying the sources of noise and vibration. Sound package treatments address the noise and vibration issues along the path to reduce in-cabin noise. In Acoustical Materials, readers will grasp the science of reducing sound and vibration using sound absorbers, sound barriers, and vibration dampers. Sound provides information on the proper operation of the vehicle, but if unchecked, can detract from the consumer experience within the vehicle and create noise pollution outside the vehicle. Acoustical Materials provides essential information on the basics of sound, vehicle noise source, how these are measured, how vehicle owners perceive sound, and ultimately, how to solve noise problems in vehicles using sound package materials.

Download or read book Poka Yoke written by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1989-02-01 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If your goal is 100% zero defects, here is the book for you — a completely illustrated guide to poka-yoke (mistake-proofing) for supervisors and shop-floor workers. Many poka-yoke ideas come from line workers and are implemented with the help of engineering staff or tooling or machine specialists. The result is better product quality and greater participation by workers in efforts to improve your processes, your products, and your company as a whole. The first section of the book uses a simple, illustrated format to summarize many of the concepts and main features of poka-yoke. The second section shows 240 examples of poka-yoke improvements implemented in Japanese plants. The book: Organizes examples according to the broad issue or problem they address. Pinpoints how poka-yoke applies to specific devices, parts and products, categories of improvement methods, and processes. Provides sample improvement forms for you to sketch out your own ideas. Use Poka-yoke in study groups as a model for your improvement efforts. It may be your single most important step toward eliminating defects completely. (For an industrial engineering perspective on how source inspection and poka-yoke can work together to reduce defects to zero, see Shigeo Shingo's Zero Quality Control.)
