Book Organosilicon Heteropolymers and Heterocompounds

Download or read book Organosilicon Heteropolymers and Heterocompounds written by S. N. Borisov and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 651 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are numerous criteria for measuring the growth and development of branches of chemistry. This valuable book illustrates a particular aspect of the growth of organosilicon chemistry. The extent of this field has developed so greatly in recent years that it now is desirable to reclassify parts to bring together hitherto frag mented and relatively disparate sections. This has been accomplished by the presently available large units which have been deSignated as "organosilicon heterocompounds. " Simplified expressions of such classification are structural units of the general type C - Si - heteroelement and heteroelement-C - Si, in which there are attached to the organosilicon moiety elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, metals, etc. This arrangement per mits the correlation of extensive material, which will be invalu able to chemists in many areas, both in and out of organosi- con chemistry. Because of the wealth of information, the authors are currently engaged in the preparation of companion volumes arranged on this general principle. The scope is broad, and includes material which will prove highly interesting and useful to those in academic, industrial, and governmental circles. There is not only a wide coverage of the literature generally, but the listings of patent references and of general reviews and books are among the most complete so far presented.

Book An Investigation of the Mechanism of the Reaction Between Boron Trifluoride and Nitrogen III IV V Oxides

Download or read book An Investigation of the Mechanism of the Reaction Between Boron Trifluoride and Nitrogen III IV V Oxides written by P. R. Ogle and published by . This book was released on 1971 with total page 7 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The investigation has been concerned with the infrared characterization in situ of the products of the reaction of boron trifluoride with the nitrogen oxides NO2, N2O4, and N2O3 at ambient temperature. Boron trifluoride gas is unreactive toward the gaseous monomer NO2, but reacts rapidly with gaseous dimer N2O4 to form N2O42BF3. Various chemical and physical properties of N2O42BF3 are detailed. Gaseous boron trifluoride reacts with gaseous nitrogen trioxide (N2O3) to form a NO(+) containing compound. Infrared spectral evidence indicate that this is NOBF4. An inexpensive selective ion electrode holder and die for the manufacture of solid state crystals for the electrode holder was designed. (Author).

Book Handbook of Reagents for Organic Synthesis

Download or read book Handbook of Reagents for Organic Synthesis written by André B. Charette and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2015-07-15 with total page 824 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Heteroarenes are among the most prevalent structural units in natural products, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and other compounds of scientific or commercial interest. In the last decade, a broad range of novel synthetic methods has been developed to not only facilitate construction of the heteroarene motif, but to enable its modification through direct C–H functionalization. This Handbook describes 117 key reagents for selective heteroarene functionalization reactions, including both traditional and transition metal-catalyzed C–H functionalization. Since these reactions typically involve one heteroarene, a coupling partner and a catalyst, the handbook not only focuses on the catalyst itself but also contains other key reaction species. All the information compiled in this volume is also available in electronic format on Wiley Online Library. The 117 reagents represented here are but a small fraction of the ca. 5,000 reagents available in the electronic Encyclopedia of Reagents for Organic Synthesis (e-EROS). e-EROS offers various search interfaces to locate reagents of interest, including chemical structure, substructure and reactions search modes. e-EROS is updated regularly with new and updated entries.
