Book Eat Drink And Be My Best Forget The Rest

Download or read book Eat Drink And Be My Best Forget The Rest written by Theo Annika Knillsson and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2019-03-21 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Years of abuse and neglect have affected my eating and drinking and what was best for me overall. It is hard to eat healthy when there is not enough money to do so. Also, when a victim is an emotional mess, it is hard to eat healthily. In reality, the abuser pretty much dictates what, when, and if you eat at all. Abusers force victims to eat foods that make a victim never want to eat that food again, and some of those foods are healthy foods. There are so many factors in why victims of abuse eat the way they do and why they have eating disorders. Eating healthily is a big deal, especially when a victim becomes malnourished due to abuse. I was anorexic for a few years because of the long-term horrific abuse. At this time I had just had my last child, down to ninety pounds and not able to gain weight no matter what I ate after I got out of the abusive situation. It took years of eating enough healthy food to get my weight back to a normal weight. And then of course, I unintentionally got back into another abusive situation. His control and abuse put me far into debt because I was not going to eat unhealthily and go back to being anorexic ever again. I was forced not to work in this final abusive marriage. I will never get into an abusive marriage again even if I had been lured into abusive marriages in my past by them over and over again. Forced not to work made it so I had to use credit cards in order to eat enough healthy food. At least I was not damaged again by anorexia. No matter how forceful or abusive my husband was then, my kids were not going to go without healthy food even if I was on a tight budget. I would go into debt all over again so they could eat healthy! I keep thinking, I will pay it off and go to work as soon as I am safe enough to get out of this abusive marriage! Finally out of that my last abusive marriage, I am slowly but surely paying off the debt. Yes, with a lot of interest charge, but I am going to be out of debt eventually. I work as much as I can even if I am physically disabled, unlike my last abusive husband; I have to work to eat healthy! I can't worry about the debt or I won't get out! I eat healthy and in time, I will become wealthy enough to be out of debt! Because healthy is wealthy! That is why I wrote this book, to give you the reader, ideas on what and how: to eat, drink, and be the best; forget the rest! I will always be on a tight budget and that is how I will get out of debt. SMART SPENDING HAPPY ENDING!

Book excerpt: Rule #1: Never fall for your client. Rule #2: Never fall for your client’s fiercely protective, smoking hot sister-in-law. I’m the kind of guy who believes that everyone deserves the best legal representation money can buy—which just so happens to be me, Lucas Wright. Give me your henpecked, your cuckolded, your irreconcilable differences yearning to break free! And if you’re the bad guy in your marriage, that’s cool too. Your green is as good as anyone’s. Tell that to Trinity Jones. It’s my job to destroy her sister—the soon-to-be ex-wife of my a-hole of a client—and Trinity’s “big sis” instincts are dialed up to the max. I admire that. I admire her. But she won’t stop me from representing my client to the best of my ability. Not even if my chemistry with Trinity is undeniable. Not even if we can’t keep our hands off each other. Not even if she injects life into a heart assumed to be long dead. Because when faced with a choice between love and duty, the job will always win—or at least that’s what I thought before I met Trinity . . . and suddenly conflict of interest never felt so right. Praise for Illegally Yours “Illegally Yours is funny, sexy, smart, and impossible to put down. I adored it.”—Serena Bell, USA Today bestselling author of Sleepover “Smart, sexy banter and fast-paced fun, Illegally Yours will keep you up far past your bedtime. Book Burny s Journeys

Download or read book Burny s Journeys written by Brian Finkle and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2004 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It's one man's story from childhood to his mid-fifties and counting. He never went looking for adventures or answers to life but because of timing, coincidences, synchronicities, (call it what you will) that started early and have never ended, he has been blessed with a lifetime of stories and then some. He spent his first twenty years in small town Iowa before the U.S. Army decided that they had a need for him. It was February of 1968 and it proved to be a bad time to be entering the military. After a year in Vietnam he came home intact but a changed young man. He packed up a van and headed west with everything he owned. (Except for the baseball cards that his parents had already thrown away. Damn!) After joining Vietnam Veterans Against the War (John Kerry was their president) he went to D.C. and threw his medals away on the Capitol steps with a thousand or so other vets who realized that as a country, we could make mistakes and this time we had. He was thrown in jail in Denver with 78 other vets for simply trying to march, as an organization, in the Veteran's Day Parade. It was a tough time for people to stand up to their government but he felt it was important and so did many people. Those actions changed the direction of our country. "Maybe something like this" the author suggests, "is needed again today". After some bad relationships, he hit the road for 2 1/2 years without an address to call his own. He spent two fairy tale winters in Mexico and Guatemala where he explored caves, found untouched ceynotes, met many characters as well as great friends, and all the while, he compiled stories. It was then that he began journaling and has never stopped nearly 30 years later and neither have the stories. He had the most vivid dream of his life, which magically, eventually led him to his lovely bride. They have now shared the past quarter of a century together including kids, and grandkids. It's all there along with the lessons and confessions.

Book No Accounting For Phoebe

Download or read book No Accounting For Phoebe written by Clare Mackie and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2020-03-12 with total page 514 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For Phoebe Roberts, starting life at Cambridge University was just what she needed to throw off the ugly duckling mantle she'd worn for too long, and finally emerge as a swan. She didn't think life could get any better, until the hypnotic green eyes of tall, dark and fascinating, Ethan Ward claimed her over a late-night transatlantic Skype call and she fell, headlong, into love. Ever since the premature death of his parents forced Ethan from the family's Californian vineyard, he'd lived in New York, but despite a successful career as a sought-after lawyer, he still yearned for the life he'd been born into and the beautiful Ward vineyard he'd once called home. When he unexpectedly meets Phoebe, her innocence, spontaneity and wicked sense of humour throw open the door to a second chance of happiness with the English beauty. Despite all the odds, obstacles and miles that separate them, they seem destined to enjoy a rare future. But nearly ten years earlier somebody else had staked an unrecognised, unwanted and unbalanced claim on Ethan Ward. Somebody who was prepared to go to any lengths, however malicious, to get what they wanted. Somebody who would ultimately tear the couple apart.

Book excerpt: Set in the backdrop of a prestigious all-girls boarding school, this provocative novel explores the personal lives of those within the school's small community and the empowerment, strength, and resolve it must find in the face of a surprise adversary. After a tumultuous transitional year at the prestigious boarding school, Rachel Bickham now leads as the new head of Miss Oliver's School for Girls, ready to rush in an era of renewal and success. With beloved teacher Francis Plummer by her side, surely she can conquer anything thrown at her, perhaps even finally start a family of her own. But lately Rachel hears nothing about Francis's classes, once legend among the students. . . In fact, the praises have been suspiciously absent. In the meantime, financial crisis still looms over the school, and now there are rumors spreading of a big scandal concerning one of the students, Claire Nelson, who is like a daughter to Rachel. To save Claire from expulsion and preserve the school's reputation, Rachel must come up with a daring plan that may risk everything--her career, marriage, even the special bond with Claire--but it may just save them all. This is the follow-up to Davenport's first novel, Saving Miss Oliver's.
