Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fragments of My Mind: A Ride Through Time began as touching true stories about a child, her parents, and a family’s struggle to understand the effects of spinal muscular atrophy. A grandfather wrote his feelings of the despair, happiness, fighting spirit, and love that followed. What resulted are words carefully constructed to reach the hearts of all, as his words turned into a book of heartfelt poems touching on various subjects. Desmond B. O’Neill produced and printed this book of poetry written with imagination and soul for guests celebrating his 60th birthday. After crafting the poems based on real-life events, they touched the hearts of many, and he was requested to put them in a book. The poems range from funny stories of childhood, to sentimental issues of dealing with cancer, to bullying and childhood disabilities. Praise has kept Desmond writing and entertaining with words carefully placed, garnished, and felt.

Book Wigwam and War path

Download or read book Wigwam and War path written by Alfred Benjamin Meacham and published by . This book was released on 1875 with total page 752 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From introduction: "The chapter in our National History which tells our dealings with the Indian tribes, from Plymouth to San Francisco, will be one of the darkest and most disgraceful in our annals. Fraud and oppression, hypocrisy and violence, open, high handed robbery and sly cheating, the swindling agent and the brutal soldier turned into a brigand, buying promotion by pandering to the hate and fears of the settlers, avarice and indifference to human life, and lust for territory, all play their parts in the drama. Except the Negro, no race will lift up, at the judgement seat, such accusing hands against this nation as the Indian."

The recipes in this book are a snapshot -- a slice in time -- of the expert artisan produce of Sweet Envy: from pork & harissa sausage rolls and sticky pecan buns, to the perfect croissant, or a seriously haute-couture cake with lashings of buttery icing. Within these pages are over one hundred fabulous recipes for pastries, both savoury and sweet, desserts, tarts, old-fashioned sweets, biscuits, cupcakes, gorgeous celebration cakes and ice cream to drool over (you'll want to lick the page, seriously). The authors have worked in some of the most prestigious pastry kitchens and restaurants in the world, so these recipes are packed with the ancient wisdoms of professional pastry-chef experience. As well as this, their hilarious anecdotes and wry observations of community life among Hobart's farmers, foodies and friends, provide a refreshing and somewhat anarchic sense of humour not usually associated with the sweet art of baking.
