Matthew tell us that once this took place, the generation that saw this, would be the last generation, before the second coming of the Lord. Not only this but Matthew 24, gives a vivid account of what will be taking place during that timr prior to the Lord's return. One of the signs are changes in the weather patterns, Another speaks about, as in the days of Noah, violence, terrorism throughout the land, that many pastors alledges will happen! Peter speaks the second coming will happen during a time like it was in the days of Lot, rampart homosexuality and also the neglecting of the poor. Wars and rumors of wars, ethnic raising up against ethnic. Is any of this happening today? Yes! and Matthew states "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place...." Matt. 24:32-34. Yet many believers today are scoffers. Not only are we scoffers we have accepted the fables and false doctrines are men, in exchange for thus saith the Lord!!Romans 12:2, the NIV version states"Do not conform to the pattern of this world(mindset), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
