That: we are not a regular combatant in this untrophied warfare, but ai volunteer, is no apology whatever, and will not be accepted. We shall be glad to see some reasons put on record' by this able and excellent individual: in reference to the present Edition, a sum mary dismissal like this will impugn the conduct of those who. Have given their opinion and weighed the evidence. That talented phy sicinn, Dr. Hastings, Of Worcester, has acted a very different part. In another part of the volume we have considered his cases, and feel indebted for his noble and manly conduct.
