Book Climbing the Tree of Life

Download or read book Climbing the Tree of Life written by Jim Clements and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2010-09 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Climbing the Tree of Life, The O.A.K. Ministry" uses original poetry, famous quotations, God's word, and personal witness to show the extraordinary hand of God in the ordinary life of the author. The book was written as a way to encourage a ministry of love through offering acts of kindness. It is the hope of the author that the truths found within this book will be life-changing to the reader and trend-changing for the world as this ministry grows. "The O.A.K. Ministry was born one day when God showed me a simple truth through an act of kindness on the side of a road. Since then, it has become my mission to share that truth with as many as I can. My means were limited but God's are not. He gave me the ability to string a few words together and create poetry. From that poetry the idea of writing this book was created." -Jim Clements A native New Yorker, Jim Clements spent his early adult life as a carefree biker. The same year his first son Patrick was born, his lifestyle took an abrupt change after a motorcycle accident left him with a debilitating head injury. Four years later, after regaining the use of his left arm and leg, he began his career as a firefighter and he and his wife, Joan, welcomed their second son, Christopher. The death of Jim's father and the model of his faith put Jim on a search for the God he had long ignored. Now as a retired firefighter/paramedic with an R.N. degree, he lives in Ormond Beach, Florida with his wife Joan. He longs to share his faith and love for the God he now knows.

Book Tapestry in the Master S Hands

Download or read book Tapestry in the Master S Hands written by Naomi R. Jantz and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2015-04-27 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We all get used to normalwhatever that means for each of us. We get comfortable in our sense of routine. Some say we may even become complacent. But that can all change, whether it comes through a conscious decision or something thrust upon us. When author Naomi R. Jantz and her pastor-husband, Orlando, realized God was changing the direction of their ministry, they moved to the farm where she was born. Tapestry in the Masters Hands is the story of how they adjusted to their new normal. Things they had taken for granted, such as an indoor toilet, were things of the past. Jantz contemplates how she copes with the many obstacles that arise, including the death of her husband of more than fifty-three years. When her grandsons beg to hear the story of her life, Jantz realizes how much more her ancestors faced. Tapestry in the Masters Hands is a collection of the intriguing episodes of her life. The boys hear stories of being in a boat, flying through the air, riding on the boxcar, riding a bull (as well as being chased by a bull). The stories in Tapestry in the Masters Hands will make you laugh, cry, and rejoice as you see the Master weave the colorful tapestry of her life. You will discover that creating a new normal is not necessarily a bad or scary thingespecially when faith is your backbone.

Book The Seed That Fell from the Master s Hand

Download or read book The Seed That Fell from the Master s Hand written by Bishop John Stevenson and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2021-11-18 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus said, "...for this cause I came". He came to die for our sins. If Jesus had not done what He was sent to do, then He could not set captivity free. In other words, Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you. Anif I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and get you so you will be with me always. Accept a corn of wheat falls to the ground and dies it remains alone. You see, if Jesus had not died to atone our sins, we would remain unfit for the Kingdom. Because no whoremonger, adulterer, fornicator, drunkard, nor idolater will see Heaven. No, absolutely no sinner will see the Kingdom of God. Jesus said I must go first and make ready a place for you in my Father's house where there are many mansions. And after I have accomplished that, I will come back for you and take you back with me and we will spend eternity together. Jesus is the seed that fell from the Master's hand. The sower, who is the father and the husbandman, sows the seed which is the Word of God. The word then becomes flesh and dwells amongst us and we behold the only begotten Son of God full of glory whose name is the word of God. A seed alone in your hand will only stay a seed. But if you sow that seed, plant that seed. You will then see that seed produce and bring forth a harvest that will give birth to a multitude of seeds. And now that seed that was alone in your hand is no longer alone. It is surrounded by a family of other seeds just like itself. Accept the seed falls to the ground and dies it will remain alone. Jesus, who is the seed's purpose for falling to the earth, was to die. He didn't come to earth to go back to heaven alone. He's coming back to get this Church who will be without spot or wrinkle.
