We had the most beautiful views on all sides during the walk down. The invigorating air, and the great attractions of the mountain scenery, induced a unanimous vote in EVENING AT CHIESA 175 favour of the Canciano Pass, in preference to a drive down the valley to Sondrio, and before the end of our walk, it was arranged that the necessary preparations should be made for a very early start the next morning.
