Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a general introduction to reaction time research as relevant to Second Language Studies and explores a collection of tasks and paradigms that are often used in such research. It provides a lucid explanation of the technical aspects of collecting reaction time data and outlines crucial research principles and concepts that will ensure accurate data. In addition, Conducting Reaction Time Research in Second Language Studies provides step-by-step instructions for using DMDX, a software program widely used for conducting reaction time research. From general guidelines to techniques to working with data, this complete "why and how" guide for conducting reaction time research is ideal for both students/beginners and more seasoned researchers.
Download or read book On the Behavior of Reaction Time in Association Experiments written by Carl Jung and published by Livraria Press. This book was released on 2024-05-09 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jung's early 1906 work "On the Behavior of Reaction Time in Association Experiments" (original German "Psychoanalyse und Assoziationsexperiment") was published in the Journal "Diagnostic Association Studies" in 1904. Here a young Jung, while working at the Bürghölzli psychiatric clinic in Zurich, explores concepts such as the Word Association Test, Identification of Complexes, the Nature of Complexes and Psychotherapeutic implications of these concepts. This edition is a new translation from the original German manuscript with an Afterword by the Translator, a philosophic index of Jung's terminology and a timeline of his life and works. This essay was published in the Scientific Psychology Journal "Diagnostische Assoziationsstudien" (Diagnostic Association Studies) and it represents one of his earlier forays into experimental psychology. The publication, co-authored with Franz Riklin, aimed to investigate and understand the unconscious processes affecting an individual's conscious responses to stimuli. It marked an important phase in Jung's exploration of the unconscious mind. Through word association tests, he identified the presence of emotionally charged complexes that affect conscious thought, laying the groundwork for many of his later theories. Here we see Jung fully under the influence of Frued's 1901 work "The Psychopathology of Everyday Life".

Download or read book Nano and Biocatalysts for Biodiesel Production written by Avinash P. Ingle and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2021-06-21 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reviews recent advances in catalytic biodiesel synthesis, highlighting various nanocatalysts and nano(bio)catalysts developed for effective biodiesel production Nano- and Biocatalysts for Biodiesel Production delivers an essential reference for academic and industrial researchers in biomass valorization and biofuel industries. The book covers both nanocatalysts and biocatalysts, bridging the gap between homogenous and heterogenous catalysis. Readers will learn about the techno-economical and environmental aspects of biodiesel production using different feedstocks and catalysts. They will also discover how nano(bio)catalysts can be used as effective alternatives to conventional catalysts in biodiesel production due to their unique properties, including reusability, high activation energy and rate of reaction, easy recovery, and recyclability. Readers will benefit from the inclusion of: Introductions to CaO nanocatalysts, zeolite nanocatalysts, titanium dioxide-based nanocatalysts and zinc-based in biodiesel production An exploration of carbon-based heterogeneous nanocatalysts for the production of biodiesel Practical discussions of bio-based nano catalysts for biodiesel production and the application of nanoporous materials as heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production An analysis of the techno-economical considerations of biodiesel production using different feedstocks Nano- and Biocatalysts for Biodiesel Production focuses on recent advances in the field and offers a complete and informative guide for academic researchers and industrial scientists working in the fields of biofuels and bioenergy, catalysis, biotechnology, bioengineering, nanotechnology, and materials science.
