  • Author : Dr. Shmuel Asher
  • Publisher : Lulu.com

Book excerpt: Dr. Asher's ""The Greater Exodus"" is a unique unveiling of a long-hidden End-Times prophecy which has been obscured from the multitudes it is meant for until he began openly teaching it in 1982. Since its publication, others have begun adopting their own variations of this prophetic truth, however, Dr. Asher's work on this subject continues to be the only original understanding sourced from the ancient Hebrew culture. As with all his work, this teaching is also void of any post-Mosaic religious dogma. The reader is assured, that the difference between this prophecies understanding, versus those which came after, is, that unlike all the known modern prophetic end-times theories, this simple and scriptural understanding is thoroughly provable point by point. Moreover, this prophecy proves to be the HOPE of the Eternal Creators absolute and unwavering provisions for His obedient people through those expected calamities. We give you, "The Greater Exodus".

Book excerpt: The text of 2 Cor. 6.14-7.1, commonly called the 'fragment', has been the focus of much debate, due largely to its enigmatic presence within the context of 2.14-7.4. This work forges a new line of research on the problem of contextual disruption through an examination of the Old Testament traditions used within the fragment (their source, redactional focus and theology). Next, a similar traditions study is pursued in the current literary context of 2.14-7.4. A surprising degree of continuity between the fragment and its context is discovered in the use of Old Testament traditions, particularly those relating to new covenant and second exodus (exilic return) traditions. From this investigation a contextual hypothesis is proposed, along with a critique of competing contextual theories. The book concludes with two appendices which apply the contextual hypothesis to the crucial interpretative issue in 6.14a. Although the author's contextual hypothesis is not dependent upon any one interpretative solution in 6.14a, it nonetheless offers some fresh insight into the questions of who the 'unbelievers' are and what the 'unequal yoke' is.>

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Gospel Coalition Book Award Center for Biblical Studies Book of the Year Award Biblical Foundations Book Award With Israel's exodus out of Egypt, God established a pattern to help us understand the salvation of all his people—Israel and the nations—through Jesus Christ. In Exodus Old and New, L. Michael Morales examines the key elements of three major redemption movements in Scripture: the exodus out of Egypt, the second exodus foretold by the prophets, and the new exodus accomplished by Jesus Christ. We discover how the blood of a Passover lamb helps us grasp the significance of Jesus' death on the cross, how the Lord's defeat of Pharaoh foreshadowed Jesus' victory over Satan, how Israel’s exodus out of Egypt unfolds the meaning of the resurrection, and much more. The second volume in the ESBT series, Exodus Old and New reveals how Old Testament stories of salvation provide insight into the accomplishments of Jesus and the unity of God's purposes across history. Essential Studies in Biblical Theology (ESBT), edited by Benjamin L. Gladd, explore the central or essential themes of the Bible's grand storyline. Taking cues from Genesis 1–3, authors trace the presence of these themes throughout the entire sweep of redemption history. Written for students, church leaders, and laypeople, the ESBT offers an introduction to biblical theology.

Book Gleanings in Exodus

  • Publisher : Sovereign Grace Publishers,
  • Release : 2002-09
  • ISBN : 1589603125

Download or read book Gleanings in Exodus written by Arthur W. Pink and published by Sovereign Grace Publishers,. This book was released on 2002-09 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Historically, the book of Exodus treats of the deliverance of Israel from Egypt; but viewed doctrinally, it deals with redemption. Just as the first book of the Bible teaches that God elects unto salvation, so the second instructs us how God saves, namely, by redemption. Redemption, then, is the dominant subject of Exodus. Following this, we are shown what we are redeemed for-worship, and this characterizes Leviticus, where we learn of the holy requirements of God and the gracious provisions He has made to meet these. In Numbers we have the walk and warfare of the wilderness, where we have a typical representation of our experiences as we pass through this scene of sin and trial-our repeated and excuseless failures, and God's long-sufferance and faithfulness.
