In this article a few concepts of RPNS along with union, intersection, complement and partial orders are introduced in a unique approach to cope up with uncertain and conflicting data. Some ideal properties of RPNS based on these perceptions have also been studied. We will implement the concept in order to evaluate the efficacy of the proposed methodology of RPNS in multi criteria decision making with the numerical examples.

Book excerpt: The theory of plithogeny developed by Smarandache is described as a more generalized form of representing sets of different nature such as crisp, fuzzy, intuitionistic and neutrosophic. Plithogenic set comprises degree of appurtenance and contradiction degree with respect only to the dominant attribute. This paper introduces extended plithogenic sets comprising degrees of appurtenance and contradiction with respect to both dominant and recessive attributes. The extension of the 5-tuple Plithogenic sets to a 7- tuple plithogenic sets helps in developing a more comprehensive kind of Plithogenic sociogram. The newly developed plithogenic sets and its implications in Plithogenic sociogram is validated by the decision making problem on food processing industries. The obtained results using extended plithogenic sets are more promising in comparison to the conventional plithogenic sets. The proposed kind of plithogenic sets will benefit the decision makers to make optimal decisions based on both optimistic and pessimistic approaches.

Neutrosophic set is proposed from philosophical point of view to handle inaccurate information efficiently, and a single-valued neutrosophic set (SVNS) is a special case of neutrosophic set, which is widely used in actual application fields. In this paper, a new method based on single-valued neutrosophic sets aggregation to solve multi-attribute decision making problem is proposed. Firstly, the neutrosophic decision matrix is obtained by expert assessment, a score function of single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) is defined to obtain the positive ideal solution (PIS) and the negative ideal solution (NIS). Then all alternatives are aggregated based on TOPSIS method to make decision. Finally numerical examples are given to verify the feasibility and rationality of the method.

Book excerpt: In this paper, a new tangent similarity between single valued neutrosophic sets is given, which contain tangent similarity [23] as a special case. A best-worst multi-criteria decision making method based on the single valued neutrosophic sets is proposed. To achieve this goal, we design an algorithm to identify the best andworst criteria through computing the outdegrees and in-degrees of the collective single valued neutrosophic preference relation directed network, and then calculate the optimal weight vector of attributes. Moreover, a mathematical model corresponding to the definitions of consistent single valued neutrosophic preference relation is contracted. Finaly, the evaluation values of all alternatives are calculated by the proposed new tangent similarity.

We also make explanations with an illustrative example for demonstrating these four classifications. Book excerpt: One of the most efcient tools for modeling uncertainty in decision-making problems is the neutrosophic set (NS) and its extensions, such as complex NS (CNS), interval NS (INS), and interval complex NS (ICNS). Linguistic variables have been long recognized as a useful tool in decision-making problems for solving the problem of crisp neutrosophic membership degree. In this paper, we aim to introduce new concepts: single-valued linguistic complex neutrosophic set (SVLCNS-2) and interval linguistic complex neutrosophic set (ILCNS-2) that are more applicable and adjustable to real-world implementation than those of their previous counterparts. Some set-theoretic operations and the operational rules of SVLCNS-2 and ILCNS-2 are designed. Then, gather classications of the candidate versus criteria, gather the signicance weights, gather the weighted rankings of candidates versus criteria and a score function to arrange the candidates are determined. New TOPSIS decision-making procedures in SVLCNS-2 and ICNS-2 are presented and applied to lecturer selection in the case study of the University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University. The applications demonstrate the usefulness and efciency of the proposal.
