Book A Nation Accountable Its DAY of the LORD

Download or read book A Nation Accountable Its DAY of the LORD written by James Tarter and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2018-07-09 with total page 42 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Day of the Lord on a nation is its just judgment by God: a nation's full accountability to the just and loving God for the nation's sins throughout its history. In the Bible, the Day of the Lord refers to God's just judgment of a nation far more often than to Jesus' return to earth (which also is a good meaning). The Bible shows many examples of His judgment of ancient nations as whole units. National judgments have continued through the centuries after Biblical times, but have become especially common in the last 80 years as nation after nation has come under atheistic communism or another dominating spiritual darkness. As with individuals, a nation that has sinned badly can be justly blessed by joining itself to the Lord Jesus and receiving His sacrifice for sinful mankind. This little book is written to show this vital picture in the Bible, so that believers in Jesus will turn to Him and hear Him accurately.

Book Corporate Repentance And Producing It

Download or read book Corporate Repentance And Producing It written by James Tarter and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-03-13 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We can easily see a great need for many nations and churches to repent in order to get healthy and stay healthy. If we have taken this need seriously, then most likely we have already found that real progress seems disappointingly hard or impossible. We can be greatly encouraged by seeing in the Bible that God plans to transform huge groups of people through His believers in Jesus: whole localities, lands, nations, and people groups. We can also see that this repentance begins with a great repentance of His people in these groups. Producing corporate repentance causes special problems that God wants to solve through His children learning to work with Him, with each other, and with His better ways of living in Christ Jesus. The repentance of both His people in a huge group and the whole huge group goes far beyond what we have seen up to now.

Download or read book GOD S CURE for the POST CHRISTIAN SYNDROME written by James Tarter and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2009-09 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Christianity with little of Christ for generations causes a nation to become like Judah in Malachi. This includes the U.S. Many people here have hearts hardened against the true God and His words to us. Malachi shows that God is preparing His faithful people, so that at the right time He will release them mightily as He did Jesus in Judea. This will heal the hardened hearts of many people who have not yet really tasted God's goodness in Jesus. God has made a way in Christ to rescue the U.S. from heading toward certain destruction into becoming Jesus' national disciple. Malachi helps us to see God's work in His people in the U.S. or other nation that is like Judah while the nation keeps corrupting itself. Then God's sudden release of His prepared people with great power and healing changes everything! (A note: readers not in the U.S. might prefer the book with the same title and a subtitle "Western Europe").

Book excerpt: The Bible shows God's plan to work through the Body of Christ to heal people and even whole nations. God gives His plan especially in Ephesians, John, 2Chron. 7:13-14, and Romans 8. Every nation today is sick because the Church there has not yet followed His plan, which goes far beyond our imaginations or anything that has been accomplished up to now. Nevertheless, Ephesians shows God's commitment to fulfill His plan. This book shows all these things, specifically including how the Body of Christ is to heal nations and deliver people from moral corruption through Jesus Christ. This book also shows the Bible's strategy for individual believers in Jesus to help the whole Body of Christ go far beyond all that it has done up to now.

Book The Day of The Lord Commentary

Download or read book The Day of The Lord Commentary written by Greg Hinnant and published by Gatekeeper Press. This book was released on 2021-08-10 with total page 564 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Old Testament is richly laden with prophecies and foreshadowings of the last days. Having never researched its treasures, however, many Christians possess a lopsided, exclusively New Testament understanding of End-Times prophecy. The Day of the Lord Commentary meticulously examines every Old Testament text foretelling or foreshadowing the dramatic people and events that consummate God’s prophetic plan, terminate this world order, and inaugurate Christ’s unprecedentedly righteous, peaceful, worldwide kingdom on earth. Only the Bible, accurately interpreted, establishes accurate End-Times views. This commentary’s abundant, biblical cross-references lay a deep, broad foundation for a clear, accurate eschatology. It will amaze you how often, and how specifically, Old and New Testament prophets agree. All see the same final events, and in the same order: Tribulation, Armageddon, Millennium! This in-depth study gives special attention to the Old Testament’s less-known “little apocalypses” in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Zechariah, and identifies their many links to John’s well-known apocalypse, Revelation. Soundly refuting Supersessionism, it explains why God has regathered the Jews, reestablished the State of Israel, and preserved it against all odds: Israel’s Day of the Lord is coming! Book Review 1: "Greg Hinnant’s monumental work, The Day of the Lord Commentary, is a must-read for anyone interested in the final summation of End-Times events … Greg takes the reader on an extraordinary journey through the Old Testament with three-dimensional glasses that allows one to see direct references and indirect typology concerning the great drama of redemption as it moves to its conclusion. This may be the foremost study of its kind on this topic." -- Dr. Charles H. Gaulden, Old Testament Professor, Southeastern University Book Review 2: "It is exceptionally common in eschatological study to focus almost exclusively on the New Testament, yet such an approach ignores Paul’s admonition that all scripture is inspired (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Day of the Lord Commentary provides a systematic overview of important references to the impending Day of the Lord found throughout the Old Testament, and weaves these prophetic expectations into one seamless tapestry throughout the whole Bible." -- Dr. Ran Whitley, DMin, PhD, Professor, Campbell University Book Review 3: "Though a Bible student all my life, certain passages remained obscure and confusing. The Day of the Lord Commentary has changed all of this, as these formerly confusing passages have now come alive. This book’s depth and insight into the Old Testament is astounding. How Greg was able to mine through all the rock and rubble of confusing Bible prophecy to access these precious stones of biblical revelation is truly a gift. This work is a must-read for all who desire a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a valuable resource for ministers, to shed light and understanding on the gospel message we proclaim." -- Sherri Leith, Senior Pastor, Family Worship Center, Port Orchard, Washington Book Review 4: "The Day of the Lord Commentary provides an in-depth study of biblical eschatology. Using a detailed comparative analysis of the eschatological oracles scattered throughout the Hebrew Bible, Greg lays out a theological roadmap for understanding God’s plan for Israel and the nations. This book, written from a Christian perspective, tackles some of the most intriguing End-Times prophecies recorded in Israel’s sacred scriptures. Pastors, preachers, and Bible teachers will greatly benefit from this thought-provoking volume." -- Dr. Igal German, Founding Director, Yesod Bible Center, and International Biblical Apologetics Association (bibleapologist.org)

Book GOD S WORD to the UNITED STATES

Download or read book GOD S WORD to the UNITED STATES written by James Tarter and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2008-12-31 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians have wondered why there is no prophecy about the United States in the Bible, because it prophesies much about the world today. In this book we can see clearly that God prophesies about the U.S. in Obadiah as the nation approaches choosing decisively for or against Jesus. Obadiah reveals two alternative futures: one will be chosen, which will also reject the other. One future is gross sin and a resulting just judgment of being destroyed forever from being a people. The other future is a wonderful transformation of the U.S. by joining itself to Christ Jesus as one of His national disciples. As the Bible shows, believers in Jesus within a land prepare (or fail to prepare) the U.S. or any nation to make the good choice. "God's Word" duplicates "A Prophecy for the United States" (don't buy both). "God's Just Judgment of a Nation" is a less specific picture that comes from a bigger Scripture: all 12 Minor Prophets.

Book Dr Malachi s Prescription for the U S

Download or read book Dr Malachi s Prescription for the U S written by James Tarter and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-11-27 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book we see how Malachi describes the spiritual illness in the U.S. and certain other materially "developed" nations today. The symptoms reveal their obvious cause. Malachi goes further to reveal the often unseen source of the obvious cause. This is like the unseen flu virus or malaria parasite causing an illness, which can be an obvious cause of chills, fever, muscle aches, and more. Malachi establishes all of this for the spiritual illness today, and then shows God's cure for this otherwise incurable spiritual illness. Malachi also shows what God's people need to do to move into and become a part of His cure for these nations.
