Book A Job Aid for the Structured Observation of Training

Download or read book A Job Aid for the Structured Observation of Training written by Bob G. Witmer and published by . This book was released on 1981 with total page 57 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This job aid was developed in response to the Army's need for a simple guide for persons whose job is to collect data for evaluating training programs. The job aid structures the manner by which training observers collect their data by telling them what to look for during the conduct of training and testing. Data on the procedures used for training and testing are recorded on pre-printed worksheets that list the observations to be made. The worksheets described in this job aid include the: (1) Training Plan Worksheet, (2) Training Environment Worksheet, (3) Training Observation Worksheet, and (4) Testing Observation Worksheet. For each worksheet, the items comprising the worksheet are identified and defined, and directions are given on how to use the worksheet in observing training. This job aid is one of the four job aids designed to formally evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the training process. The other three job aids in the set are: Research Product 81-15, A Job Aid for the Systematic Evaluation of Lesson Plans, Research Product 81-17, A Job Aid for Modifying Ineffective or Inefficient Training Programs, and Research Product 81-18, Guidelines for Conducting a Training Program Evaluation.

Book Measuring ROI in Environment Health and Safety

Download or read book Measuring ROI in Environment Health and Safety written by Jack J. Phillips and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-01-09 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Using the most successful evaluation system in the world for measuring impact and ROI—the ROI Methodology—learn how to measure the success of all business programs and projects involving environmental initiatives, health-related programs for employees and citizens, and various safety programs in all types of settings Few topics are more important than the health and safety of employees, associates, and citizens. Organizations focus a tremendous amount of money/resources on maintaining a zero-harm approach to its employees, the greater community, and the surrounding environment. At the same time, organizations are implementing many types of wellness and fitness programs ensuring that employees remain healthy, safe, and productive. Measuring ROI in Environment, Health, and Safety shows how to measure the success of all types of programs and projects involving environmental initiatives, health-related programs for employees and citizens, and various safety programs in all types of settings. Environmental efforts, or green projects, can represent value for organizations. Eighty percent can deliver a positive ROI, and the other 20 percent are often required by regulation. In either case, it is critical to understand whether or not these projects are working. This new book will show step-by-step how to measure the success of many types of green programs. Within an organization, responsibility for environment, health, and safety is often under the direction of the same executive team. Their concern is always about how well the programs are working and, more importantly, what can be done to ensure that they are more successful. ROI in Environment, Health, and Safety introduces the ROI Methodology, now used by over 4,000 organizations, and the most successful and utilized evaluation system in the world for measuring program impact and ROI. It shows step-by-step how to capture the reaction to the various initiatives and programs a firm may institute, the learning necessary to make them successful, progress in terms of application and implementation, the specific business impact measures driven by these programs, and, finally, the financial ROI. Along the way, data is collected for process improvement to ensure that if certain programs are not working, they can be adjusted for success.

Book Fundamentals of Group Process Observation

Download or read book Fundamentals of Group Process Observation written by Devika Dibya Choudhuri and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-07-06 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This edited collection covers the role of the process observer – a position that enhances the effectiveness of group functioning by observing the process, summarizing the behavior of the group so that the group can learn and, if needed, improve its functioning. There is little guidance on best practices for this role, and in most settings, process observers are forced to rely on whatever previous training they have received in group work to fulfil their role. The first of its kind, this book offers a wealth of resources for the role of group process observer organized in a systematic way. Each contributor focuses on a specific aspect of group process observation, identifying what is currently known on the topic, suggesting best practices, and providing the reader with tools, structures, and guidelines for effective process observation. Students and educators of group-work courses will find this book integral as it covers the existing gap in literature on group-process observation.
