He married Bridget Cocke, daughter of Christopher and Margaret Allen Cocke, at Norwich, England in 1605. They had twelve children, ca. 1605-1627/28. The family immigrated to America in 1637 and settled at Newbury, Massachusetts. They moved to Boston, ca. 1646. He died at Boston in 1657. William Emery Nickerson of Boston, traces his ancestry to Nicholas Busby's oldest daughter, Anne Busby (b. 1607/8), who married William Nickerson.
