Book Christ s Righteousness Imputed the Saint s Surest Plea for Eternal Life

Download or read book Christ s Righteousness Imputed the Saint s Surest Plea for Eternal Life written by Michael Harrison and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2016-06-27 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is the doctrine of justification important for today’s church? Assuredly and emphatically, YES. Harrison covers this topic in six points beginning with his main text of Isaiah 45:24-25, “Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength,” etc. He covers, 1. Who are the people that shall be made partakers of this blessed privilege of justification? 2. The nature of justification; what it is. 3. What that righteousness is, for, and by which we are justified at God’s judgment seat. 4. The time when God’s children are made partakers of this blessed privilege. 5. How are we justified by faith? 6. Objections against the doctrine of justification answered. And finally he gives the reader an application. Harrison felt the critical need for his congregation to understand that the righteousness, by and for which, we are esteemed righteous at God’s judgment seat is only available through Jesus Christ. He biblically proves that it is the active and passive obedience of Jesus Christ, performed by him in our stead, imputed to us, and received only by faith, that gives us the privilege of the doctrine of justification. Harrison’s work is a breath of theological fresh air, and it should be to every true believer who ponders the biblical nature of this most important doctrine. If you stand, on the Day of Judgment, before the judgment seat of God, in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, you will have wrapped around you the saint’s surest and only plea for pardon and eternal life. This is not a scan or facsimile, has been updated in modern English for easy reading and has an active table of contents for electronic versions.

Book Christ the Righteousness of His People

Download or read book Christ the Righteousness of His People written by C. Matthew McMahon and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2014-09-30 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How shall a sinner stand in the presence of God on the Day of Judgment? The only biblical answer to this question is in the righteousness of Jesus Christ alone. He treats this very important subject from Isaiah 45:24, “Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness.” Justification and the imputation of Christ’s righteousness for the sinner is the basis of all religion and the great article of the faith and hope of the Church. Rawlin explains this fundamental gospel truth in three main heads. 1. He shows particularly what that righteousness is which is to be obtained in the Lord Jesus Christ, and which the church is represented as seeking in him. 2. He inquires how we come to have an interest in this righteousness; how this righteousness, which is originally and subjectively without us, comes to be made ours for our actual and personal justification. And, 3. He concludes with a practical application of these very important points. In puritan style, Rawlin makes this doctrine simple to understand though he covers it in deep theological thought, an abundance of biblical evidence, and gracious practical application. This work is not a scan or facsimile, has been carefully transcribed by hand being made easy to read in modern English, and has an active table of contents for electronic versions.

Book The Glory of Righteousness

Download or read book The Glory of Righteousness written by Eduard Serediuc and published by BookBaby. This book was released on 2021-12-21 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is righteousness? What is sin? What was the purpose of the Law of Moses? What is the difference between living under the law vs. living under grace? How can believers in Christ renew their minds effectively, and what does that mean? Do believers in Christ need to confess their sins? If yes, how should it be done and what is the importance of it? If they don't need to confess their sins, why not? This book will have an extensive discussion about conscience, righteousness, sin, law and grace, mind renewal, future sins, confession of sins and the Lord's Supper. As a general principle, a lie does not become truth just because it has been propagated for hundreds of years throughout history or because most people have accepted it as truth. From time to time, the people of God need to re-evaluate some of the existing doctrines in Christendom to see if they are really in line with the Word of God. Some of the beliefs that you hold today as a Christian might simply have been taken from your parents, pastors, friends, and teachers without ever being challenged or questioned in a constructive way. You're probably not even aware of it. This book will give you an opportunity to re-evaluate some of your beliefs, and check again for yourself in the scripture and with an open mind if they are according to the scripture or not. Living our lives here on earth from the spiritual realm and in the fullness of Christ is not something trivial that happens over night. It is a process that requires intentionality, sustained effort, perseverance, faith, and patience. It is a matter of personalized and applied knowledge about who we have become as sons and daughters of God. We have become the heirs of everything that God has and joint heirs with Christ. And the good news is that we already can partake right now of that inheritance, existing in an invisible form all around us, by knowledge of the Word of God and faith in that Word. The training and education of our minds for our lives takes years and years of school and study. Keeping our physical bodies fit and in a good shape or building our muscles takes time, commitment, and much exercise. Likewise, developing a life of power in the spirit and of continuously increasing glory requires time, patience, and commitment. However, this life is not without rewards here on earth. I hope that this book will encourage you to fight the fight of faith in bringing that new person to the surface from inside out into full manifestation, knowing that God already has given us in the spiritual realm everything we need to live the God life in abundance here on earth. He is the one working in us both to will and to do His good pleasure, and He's also the rewarder of our faith and diligent seeking of His kingdom.
