Download or read book A Declaration Or Confession of Faith by Casiodoro de Reina written by Steven Griffin and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-02-04 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most English-speakers know very little about the dramatic events surrounding the Spanish reformation of the 16th century due to the Inquisition's incredible success of suppressing Protestantism, especially in Spain. Now, for the first time, English-speakers can read the only confession of faith that was written by Spaniards during the 16th century based on the original Spanish and Latin texts. Casiodoro de Reina (of the Spanish Reina-Valera Bible translation) was the principal author of the confession. He was influenced by all of the major strands of Reformation thought (Lutheran, Reformed, Anglican, and Anabaptist), and this shows up in this work. Reina appears to have been more of a pacifist in his theological outlook, attempting to be truly "catholic" in outlook.

Book excerpt: I'm designed to live by faith, So I will believe. I firmly believe that I am, as is each individual, designed to live by faith. We are designed with a God- shaped hole, that only He Himself can fill. And, in filling us with His presence, He makes us whole, and wholly His. Who am I to have written this book? I am a child of God! And I praise Him with each breath for the very air I breathe. I am a retired elementary school teacher having taught for 30 years in a variety of schools, but always in the 3-4-5th grades. I loved it! Even the "difficult"; child was loved, although sometimes it was a bit more of a challenge. I was surprised to find that I also love retirement. I was able to become even more involved with my church. God is my center My reason for being He's made of my life A part of His whole.
