Download or read book A Black Man s Inner Thoughts written by Kim R. Prout and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This poetry book is contributed to the continue struggle in my life, personal, and professional, to the overall things that is in my heart that happens each and every day. It's the way of the world being expressed on paper. It's what I see with my eyes that other refuse to see or say or just realize. It's being expressed from the abusive stages, to failure relationships, to lack of parenting, to the love of my mom. It's my way to be able to speak out loud and be heard. There's happy time, to the extreme devastation in the circle of the society life surrounding me. Again writing poetry is my way to express my inner feelings that was locked inside of my soul. It's away to relax and sooth my mental stages that affects my physical presents. It was a way to say how love, death, reality can motivate or depress my life without me being in control. It was my way to cry on paper and not be afraid of what anyone thinks about the things I have to say because it's my feeling and my beliefs. I can say the things that men won't admit to or reject because of taking it personal. It's a way to express reality and at the same time talk real talk. It was my way to express my sorrow for the systems i.e. educational, welfare, and for the kids of the future in this society. It's my way of keeping it real with me, and anyone who's willing to believe what I'm saying. 1st of all I would like to thank the man above because he has watched over me and have protected me through out. I would like to dedicate this poetry book to my wonderful mom (Jeraldine Williams), because without the strength of her for always believing in me none of this would have been possible. So I dedicate this book in behalf of my buddy, my chick, my best friend, my mom. Thank you!

This book features 5,000 authors from every corner of the globe, covering a period starting before classical antiquity, when man first started to record his thoughts, to modern times, enriching the cultural heritage. This does not in any way mean that the caveman was less humorous, but the richness of the environment we live in today and the variety of subject matter contribute considerably to a refined sense of humour. Moreover, considering that chimps and other primates also possess the ability to laugh, humour may have been around longer than the human race : )

Book Jesus Bread and Chocolate

Download or read book Jesus Bread and Chocolate written by John J. Thompson and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2015-04-07 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Farmer’s markets, artisanal dark chocolate, home-made bread, craft-brewed beer, and independent boutique coffee shops may not immediately call to mind issues of faith, but they should. As the “American Dream” starts to fray at both ends, millions of people are embracing values that seem to hail from a bygone era. They are seeking out the local, the small, the responsible and the nourishing instead of the cheap, the homogenized, the mass-produced and the canned. Is it possible that this renewed interest in these pre-modern values may actually offer an open door into the hearts and minds of this generation? Is there a way to explore specific, inspiring stories about coffee, bread, chocolate and art that lead people toward a truly Biblical understanding of the person, words and work of Jesus to reveal the truth, goodness and beauty of the Gospel? With fascinating stories and a thread of memoir, Jesus, Bread, and Chocolate explores the emerging—actually re-emerging—values of this post-industrial age and points out parallels between them and the teaching and ministry of Jesus and his earliest followers. Rather than seeking to tie the faith to trends in the culture, it shows how trends in the culture are already very close to the organic kind of faith that could reenergize the church and bring countless young and middle-aged people into a saving experience of Christ.

Book The Inner Evolution of Man

Download or read book The Inner Evolution of Man written by John Brokaar and published by Digital on Demand. This book was released on 2022-05-04 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: TO FIND ONESELF IN THE DUALITY OF CONTRADICTIONS, ONE MUST FIRST LEARN TO KNOW ONESELF. THIS HOWEVER IS NOT A NATURAL PROCESS As contemporary human beings, we exist in a one- and two-dimensional world, of fearful desire for food, wealth, sex, recognition, and immortality. Unaware of its illusory state, where perception manifests our reality, we are equally unaware of our own hybrid state: As beings of physical and metaphysical features for which, the attainment of the Higher Dimensions is our very birthright. This ‘attainment’ does not come naturally though; it requires our awareness of the conceptual world, as well as the acceptance of our conditioned mechanicalness within it. These observations and contemplations aim to offer such awareness, and to enhance the Seeker of Truth with the means to discover, understand and accept his or her undivided Self. This book combines philosophy, including gnostic thought, religion, as well as the observed psychology and sociology of contemporary ways, within the arenas of politics, geopolitics and corporatism, through the lens of spirituality and magic. It is this that defines the supernatural wonders into which the Seeker of Truth must cross his or her own threshold. As with all things of substance, the answer to these mysteries, will not be found in selected subjects or even the sum of their parts – as in such, one only finds Chaos. It is only in knowing the Whole of the Self that complete acceptance of All can emerge.
