Book A C osmosis Art in between Disciplines

Download or read book A C osmosis Art in between Disciplines written by Ioannis Michaloudis and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2021-08-10 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The relationship of humankind to the cosmos has a very long history, and has raised many more questions than can be adequately answered. Why has the cosmos been a source of awe and wonder since the beginning of civilizations? How are the arts of today related to our engagement with the cosmos? Who are the contemporary practitioners working in this field? This volume is the first publication on this particular theme written for a general audience, and initiates a discourse on art inspired and driven by the fact that humans are enthusiastic observers of Earth and the universe surrounding it. Furthermore, by proposing the parenthetic idea of (C)osmosis Art, the book serves to introduce a new conceptual framework intrigued and inspired by the interactions between art, science and technology.

Book AC E Digital Culture Annual Report 2016

Download or read book AC E Digital Culture Annual Report 2016 written by Javier Celaya and published by Dosdoce. This book was released on 2016-04-05 with total page 267 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Following the excellent reception of the first two editions of the AC/E Digital Culture Annual Report (2014 and 2015) – more than 5,000 copies of each have been distributed over the past two years – we are pleased to share with culture sector professionals the third edition, which sets out to analyse the impact of new technologies on artistic creation and their use at cultural festivals. To achieve this aim, the broad-ranging content of the third edition of the report has been divided into two main sections to make it easier to read for the different audiences at which it is aimed. 'Smart Culture' is the overarching theme established by the Advisory Committee of the AC/E Digital Culture Annual Report 2016 as a basis for choosing the six articles that make up the first part of this year's edition. Just as the first report's Focus dealt with the impact of the Internet on the performing arts (theatre, opera, dance, ballet, etc.) and that of the second edition analysed the use of new technologies in the world of museums, for this third edition it conducts a thorough analysis of the use of new technologies at some 50 Spanish and foreign cultural festivals.
