Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book unveils the hidden messages in the parables of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a compendium of revelation and deep insight by the Holy Spirit into some of the Lord's most incredible parables. The Lord Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry, gave all necessary information about the kingdom, God's divine plan for the salvation of all mankind, the church and His second coming. This information is encoded and hidden in the underlying messages of stories that were told as parables on the surface. The hidden messages in these parables are unveiled in this book for the blessing, education, spiritual understanding, growth, and edification of the body of Christ to bring everyone to the place of full knowledge, growth, and maturity in Christ, culminating in the equipping and preparation of God's people for the Master's soon return. This book brings a unique revelational message of Christ to everyone, Christians and non-Christians alike, in these end times. The Salvation Flowchart, carefully hidden in the Lord's parables, is unveiled in this book, remarkably outlining the various components of salvation in their divinely set order. The birth of the church of Christ, including its purpose and future, are all hidden in the Lord's parables which are unveiled in this book. The righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, a great gift and a great mystery, is identified from the Lord's parables as the foundation upon which every gift and blessing in Christ is anchored. God's extraordinary compassion for mankind and the excellency of Christ's unfathomable wisdom radiate throughout this book in the unveiled parables of the Lord Jesus Christ. The surpassing wisdom of Christ, which was manifested in the creation of these parables and their hidden messages, is beyond description, highlighting the fact that Christ is the wisdom of God, the epitome of divine wisdom. When He walked the earth, that was divine wisdom literally walking the streets of Galilee. The believer too has received this wisdom of Christ, for Christ has become for us wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

Book Love Unveiled

  • Author : Edward Sri
  • Publisher : Ignatius Press
  • Release : 2015-08-13

  • Pages : 289 pages

Download or read book Love Unveiled written by Edward Sri and published by Ignatius Press. This book was released on 2015-08-13 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Man cannot live without love.... His life is senseless if love is not revealed to him, if he does not encounter love, if he does not experience it and make it his own, if he does not participate intimately in it. — John Paul II, Redemptor Hominis If you were asked what immediately comes to mind when you hear the words "Catholic Church", would you answer an intimate relationship with the God who loves me? If not, you would do well to read this engaging and thought-provoking book which explains why such a relationship is the reason for everything the Church does and teaches. Professor Edward Sri will show you how all the pieces of the Catholic faith, including the most baffling ones, fit together to make one beautiful mosaic of God's love for us and our own participation in that all-encompassing love. Using the Catechism of the Catholic Church as his itinerary, Sri will walk you through all the important aspects of the Catholic Church—what Catholics believe about God and the difference it should make in life. Along the way he addresses such often-heard questions as: Why do I need the Church—can't I be spiritual on my own? Isn't one religion just as good as another? How is the death of a man two thousand years ago relevant for my life today? Why does the Church talk so much about morality? Can't I make up my own morals? Is it really our responsibility to care for the poor— doesn't God help those who help themselves? Why do Catholics and Protestants disagree? Must Catholics worship Mary and always obey the pope? More than an intellectual enterprise, this work is also a deep spiritual reflection and a practical guide to living out our faith in Christ. It aims to form both the head and the heart, not only helping us to understand Jesus and his plan of salvation, but inspiring us to love God and our neighbor better.

Book The Making and Unmaking of the Haya Lived World

Download or read book The Making and Unmaking of the Haya Lived World written by Brad Weiss and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 1996 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the center of this subtle ethnographic account of the Haya communities of Northwest Tanzania is the idea of a lived world as both the product and the producer of everyday practices. Drawing on his experience living with the Haya, Brad Weiss explores Haya ways of constructing and inhabiting their community, and examines the forces that shape and transform these practices over time. In particular, he shows how the Haya, a group at the fringe of the global economy, have responded to the processes and material aspects of money, markets, and commodities as they make and remake their place in a changing world. Grounded in a richly detailed ethnography of Haya practice, Weiss's analysis considers the symbolic qualities and values embedded in goods and transactions across a wide range of cultural activity: agricultural practice and food preparation, the body's experience of epidemic disease from AIDS to the infant affliction of "plastic teeth," and long-standing forms of social movement and migration. Weiss emphasizes how Haya images of consumption describe the relationship between their local community and the global economy. Throughout, he demonstrates that particular commodities and more general market processes are always material and meaningful forces with the potential for creativity as well as disruption in Haya social life. By calling attention to the productive dimensions of this spatial and temporal world, his work highlights the importance of human agency in not only the Haya but any sociocultural order. Offering a significant contribution to the anthropological theories of practice, embodiment, and agency, and enriching our understanding of the lives of a rural African people, The Making and Unmaking of the Haya Lived World will interest historians, anthropologists, ethnographers, and scholars of cultural studies.

Book The Ministry of the Unveiled Face

Download or read book The Ministry of the Unveiled Face written by Janet E. Fichter and published by Ambassador International. This book was released on 2022-02-15 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus told His followers to go into the world and preach the Good News. However, many Christians aren’t fulfilling this Great Commission. The call to “evangelize” conjures up uncomfortable images of walking inner city streets with a megaphone. We don’t relish facing possible ridicule so prevalent in society today, so we hesitate to reach out. But we are called to witness. And it isn’t that difficult. When we anchor in the goodness of Christ, we realize that sharing the Gospel is a profound honor. The Ministry of the Unveiled Face grounds us in the simplicity of sharing Christ in the everyday. The meekness of the call lies in our being responsive and obedient to God’s prompting as we interact with others. Anchored in persevering prayer, we speak scriptural truths into the lives of others as the Holy Spirit leads. Like the unveiling of a beautiful bride at her wedding, the spiritual veil is removed and Christ’s truth and goodness are revealed.
