Delsarte, L. Zalcman, C. A. Berenstein, M. L. Agranovsky and recent monographs by L. H ̈ ormander and S. Helgason. Until recently research in this area was carried out mostly using the technique of the Fourier transform and corresponding methods of complex analysis.
