Download or read book 32AA written by Michelle Cunnah and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2009-10-13 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Meet author Michelle Cunnah and the loveable characters she creates in this young, funny tale of husband-hunting, job-hunting, and—toughest of all—apartment-hunting in New York. A party, a promotion, and at the very least, a proposal. On her thirtieth birthday, Emma Taylor isn't asking for much. Instead, she gets passed over in every way: by her company, by her boyfriend, and even by her party-loving friends, whose idea of the perfect gift is a bottle of breast-enhancing pills. Now, kicked out of her boyfriend's apartment and stuck working for the weenie who beat her out for the job, Emma is miserable, homeless, and sleeping in the back of her car. But who knew what a great place the streets can be for meeting gorgeous men? Emma may not have much filling up her bikini top, but she does have the determination to get back on her feet, so she moves in with sexy Jack (strictly in a landlord/tenant capacity), sticks out her chin (and her chest) and gets tough at work. Maybe flat girls can have some fun . . .
Download or read book Analytical Methods in Fuzzy Modeling and Control written by Jacek Kluska and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-03-10 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is focused on mathematical analysis and rigorous design methods for fuzzy control systems based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models, sometimes called Takagi-Sugeno-Kang models. The author presents a rather general analytical theory of exact fuzzy modeling and control of continuous and discrete-time dynamical systems. Main attention is paid to usability of the results for the control and computer engineering community and therefore simple and easy knowledge-bases for linguistic interpretation have been used. The approach is based on the author’s theorems concerning equivalence between widely used Takagi-Sugeno systems and some class of multivariate polynomials. It combines the advantages of fuzzy system theory and classical control theory. Classical control theory can be applied to modeling of dynamical plants and the controllers. They are all equivalent to the set of Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy rules. The approach combines the best of fuzzy and conventional control theory. It enables linguistic interpretability (also called transparency) of both the plant model and the controller. In the case of linear systems and some class of nonlinear systems, engineers can in many cases directly apply well-known classical tools from the control theory both for analysis, and the design of closed-loop fuzzy control systems. Therefore the main objective of the book is to establish comprehensive and unified analytical foundations for fuzzy modeling using the Takagi-Sugeno rule scheme and their applications for fuzzy control, identification of some class of nonlinear dynamical processes and classification problem solver design.

Download or read book Draft Energy Bill written by Great Britain: Department of Energy and Climate Change and published by The Stationery Office. This book was released on 2012-05-22 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Government is committed to moving to a secure, safe, affordable and low-carbon energy system. This will mean achieving its climate change and renewables targets, including a 34 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020 (relative to 1990); at least an 80 per cent reduction by 2050; and by 2020 ensuring that 15 per cent of energy comes from renewable sources. This transition will require major investment in modern technologies: to renovate buildings; to provide for the electrification of much of our heating, industry and transport; and to move to cleaner power generation. It will also require major changes in the way energy is used by individuals, industry and the public sector. At the core of the Bill is the need to ensure that, as older power plants are taken offline and electricity demand continues to increase, the UK remains able to generate enough energy to meet its needs. The Energy Bill will: implement the electricity market reforms set out in the white paper 'Planning our electric future ... ' (Cm. 8099, ISBN 9780101809924); clarify the role of the regulator, Ofgem; establish an Office for Nuclear Regulation; make changes to the offshore transmission regulatory framework; and make provisions for the potential sale of Government Pipeline and Storage System. This document contains a description of the Bill's aims, the draft Bill and explanatory notes, together with a summary impact assessment.

Download or read book Structural Immunology of Molecular Innate Immunity written by Hyun Ho Park and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2023-10-31 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innate immunity has a critical role in the early stage of the host defense response by the timely recognition of pathogenic or danger signals by various cell surface or cytoplasmic receptors. This is followed by signal transduction via various adaptor and effector molecules. The main functions of innate immunity are to identify and remove the invading pathogens, to recruit various immune cells to the site of infection, and to prepare the adaptive immune response. The Innate immune system has been intensively studied for several decades and now we can begin to understand this system on a molecular level.

Download or read book The Potatoes of South America written by Carlos M. Ochoa and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1990 with total page 794 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This authoritative and scholarly 1990 treatise on the potatoes of Bolivia provides a definitive guide to the rich diversity and taxonomy of this important group of plants. The volume represents the culmination of a lifetime's study of these potatoes by Carlos Ochoa, and is published in collaboration with the International Potato Center in Lima, Peru. The text is abundantly illustrated throughout with clear line drawings, photographs and many specially commissioned watercolours, which identify the characteristic features of these plants and their natural habitats. The great variety of these wild potatoes within Bolivia provides botanists and plant breeders with a unique resource for the study of the cultivated varieties and the development of improved cultivars. This volume presents a thorough taxonomic treatment of all these varieties and incorporates valuable information about their distribution and habitat preferences which is illustrated through the use of maps and photographs.

Download or read book Double Redaction of the Deuteronomistic History written by Richard Nelson-Jones and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 1982-02-01 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Martin Noth argued that in the books of Joshua-Kings could be seen the work of a single, purposeful author or historian-a hypothesis which, although close to becoming one of those rare 'assured results of critical scholarship', has recently encountered criticism. Nelson observes that Noth's historian has a 'disturbing tendency to fall apart in the hands of those who work with him'. In this comprehensive study of the question, he attempts to put on a solid critical foundation the increasingly popular theory that the Deutoronomistic History is a product of a two-stage literary process.
