Book excerpt: Will Israel and the U.S. be destroyed or partially destroyed in 2012-2019 or 2026-2030 and beyond and Muslims, Catholics and communism take over most of the world? Were there strange things going around the sun, the moon changing degrees and phases, stars that aren't where there suppose to be and the magnetic poles changing mostly reported secretly in 2001-2011? Did NASA or scientists and astronomers brush the pictures of them away so not to scare people? Did the Bible Code predict strange behavior of the moon in 2011? Will a great tidal wave hit the U.S. East Coast in 2012-2019 and Yellowstone Park super volcano erupt or a comet or asteroid hits the earth or Ocean in 2026-2030 and utterly destroy the entire United States if it still around after the war of 2012-2019? Will the Muslims, communism and Catholics persecute Christians, Americans and Jews all over the world bringing them before Kings and have them sent to prisons and torture and killed if they don't deny Christ and convert to Islam? Will Muslims and people all over the world begin to mock and scoff at Christians and the Bible because Israel and the U.S. are destroyed and no Rapture or end or Second Coming of Christ happened? Several of the Bible prophecies predict God will not make a full end of the U.S., Israel and the world at this time and pockets of people and nations may or may not survive. God may save the U.S., Israel and the world if the people repent and turn from their sins and begin to humble themselves and heed the harbingers. But if they don't then these events may start to happen. This book was written by June 12, 2012.

Download or read book Numerology in Action in Our World written by Pamela Lillian Valemont and published by Andrews UK Limited. This book was released on 2011-09-28 with total page 34 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the first in what will be a lengthy series covering the numbers 1 to 99 - the result of 30 years of research into the power of word vibrations in the English language. It deals with the values and identifying chasteristics of the numbers 1, 2 and 3, as they are expressed in the Christian Bible, via the Holy Trinity and reflected in our 3 dimensional world. There is a fascinating section showing the import of the Master 38/11 vibration surrounding the death of John Lennon. The natural and human-made catastrophes we have witnessed during the world year 2011 are also shown to have numerologically intriguing significance.

Book Like a Natural Woman

Download or read book Like a Natural Woman written by Kirsten Pullen and published by Rutgers University Press. This book was released on 2014-08-08 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bathing beauty Esther Williams, bombshell Jane Russell, exotic Carmen Miranda, chanteuse Lena Horne, and talk-show fixture Zsa Zsa Gabor are rarely hailed as great actors or as naturalistic performers. Those terms of praise are given to male stars like Marlon Brando and James Dean, whose gritty dramas are seen as a departure from the glossy spectacles in which these stars appeared. Like a Natural Woman challenges those assumptions, revealing the skill and training that went into the work of these five actresses, who employed naturalistic performance techniques, both onscreen and off. Bringing a fresh perspective to film history through the lens of performance studies, Kirsten Pullen explores the ways in which these actresses, who always appeared to be “playing themselves,” responded to the naturalist notion that actors should create authentic characters by drawing from their own lives. At the same time, she examines how Hollywood presented these female stars as sex objects, focusing on their spectacular bodies at the expense of believable characterization or narratives. Pullen not only helps us appreciate what talented actresses these five women actually were, but also reveals how they sought to express themselves and maintain agency, even while meeting the demands of their directors, studios, families, and fans to perform certain feminine roles. Drawing from a rich collection of classic films, publicity materials, and studio archives, Like a Natural Woman lets us take a new look at both Hollywood acting techniques and the performance of femininity itself.

Book Diary of a Dying Girl

Download or read book Diary of a Dying Girl written by Mallory Smith and published by Random House Books for Young Readers. This book was released on 2024-05-07 with total page 393 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of one girl's real, unflinching diary entries about slowly dying of a terminal illness is an unparalleled exploration of the human spirit and what it means to truly live. Many of the feelings I write about are too difficult to share while I'm alive, so I'm keeping everything in my journal password-protected until the end. Mallory Smith was no ordinary girl, and this is no ordinary story. At age three, Mallory was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis--a disease that attacks the internal organs and would eventually kill her. Despite living on borrowed time, Mallory pursued her passions: volleyball; writing; the environment; her boyfriend, family, and friends. Most importantly, every day she chose to embody the mantra "live happy." Mallory also had her struggles--everything from love and sex to living with illness and just being a human on this planet. And she chronicled every bit of it, writing thousands of diary entries before her death in her twenties. This is the poignant, true story of a young woman who refused to be defined by chronic illness. Her light and her life are shared here in her own words to encourage everyone to live life to the fullest, as she did, even as she was dying.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Experiment at Philadelphia Did Einstein discover God? If God created all things, then who Created God? What Was and Happened Before the Big-Bang. The Philadelphia Experiment was Einsteins experiment in which he had not only discovered, in 1943, the way to make things invisible and transport them at great speeds but also positively proven scientifically, physically, and spiritually that the Almighty God exists! He had literally discovered God! That question, is there a god? Thats been going through peoples minds for so long, was discussed on the street corner, talked about on the porch on a hot summers night, and is now a proven fact. Yes, there is a god! Did Einstein in the Philadelphia Experiment make contact with UFO beings, who gave him advance knowledge of all things, which Einstein later destroyed, fearing what the world would do with that knowledge? Are the first fourteen chapters of this book about the advance knowledge Einstein received? Does it reveal the deepest, darkest secrets of God and Satan and how the universe works? Does it answer these questions? Many have asked since the beginning of the world: Which is known as the mystery of God? Why am I here? Whats the true meaning of life? How was everything created? Who are God and the devil? If God created all, who created God? If he is the first in creation, where and how did he come into existence? Why does God allow evil in the world? Why do good things happen to bad people and bad things to good people? Whyif we all came from Adam and Eve, who were Jewishare there Gentiles? Are Gentiles children of devils? Is that why the Jews are Gods chosen race? Why in the Garden of Eden was the knowledge of good on the tree forbidden? How old is the earth? Why is God known as the Trinity? Why have religions, down through the ages, done such evil? What, when, and how did the big bang start? What happened to Satan? Who is he really, and what did he do in the past? What are his beliefs and ways? What is he and God literally made of? What is the meaning of the great pyramids and the sphinx? Is there scientific proof that God exists? Read this whole book for the answers to all these tough questions, and be sure to read the introduction first before reading the rest of this book. It will help you better understand this whole book.

Book Decision Making Experiments under a Philosophical Analysis Human Choice as a Challenge for Neuroscience

Download or read book Decision Making Experiments under a Philosophical Analysis Human Choice as a Challenge for Neuroscience written by Gabriel José Corrêa Mograbi and published by Frontiers Media SA. This book was released on 2015-10-15 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This introduction just aims to be a fast foreword to the special topic now turned into an e-book. The Editorial "Decision-Making Experiments under a Philosophical Analysis: Human Choice as a Challenge for Neuroscience" alongside with my opinion article "Neurophilosophical considerations on decision making: Pushing-up the frontiers without disregarding their foundations" play the real role of considering in more details the articles and the whole purpose of this e-book. What I must highlight in this foreword is that our intention with such a project was to deepen into the very foundations of our current paradigms in decision neuroscience and to philosophically moot its foundations and repercussions. Normal Science (a term coined by Philosopher Thomas Kuhn) works under a research consensus among a scientific community: A shared paradigm, consolidated methods, widespread convictions. Pragmatically, winning formulas must be kept, although, not at any cost. What differentiates a gifted and revolutionary scientist from a more bureaucratic colleague is the capacity and willingness of constantly reevaluating, depurating and refining his/her own paradigm. That is best strategy to avoid that a paradigm itself would gradually come under challenge. In my view, some achievements, in this sense, were brought about in our project. The e-book will be inspiring and informative for both neuroscientists that are concerned with the very foundations of their works and for philosophers that are not blind to empirical evidence. Kant once said: “Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind”. Paraphrasing Kant we could say: Philosophy without science is empty, science without philosophy is blind.

Book Heidi Across America

Download or read book Heidi Across America written by Heidi Beierle and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2024-04-30 with total page 185 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A memoir of homecoming – Heidi Across America is a gritty story of how opening our hearts to others enables us to open our hearts to ourselves and love what we find there. In the summer of 2010, Heidi Beierle had just finished her first year of graduate studies in community and regional planning and decided to pedal her bicycle solo from her home on the west coast across rural America to the Preserving the Historic Road conference in Washington, D.C. What started as a research trip turned into an intimately physical and psychological encounter with self and nationhood. Heidi was 35 at the time and didn’t love much about herself except her ability to endure grueling physical undertakings. She viewed her journey as an opportunity to fix her failures and insufficiencies. There were also some research questions she wanted to explore: Why do people live in small towns and what do they like about it? Did a bicyclist like herself bring economic benefit to the small towns she visited? What could communities do to support or invite cyclists to stay in their towns? What could cyclists do to support the communities? Along the way, she was surprised by the kindness of strangers and the emotional pinch of traveling through Wyoming where she grew up. Her journey led her through the Plains and into the Ozarks where the heat climbed to agonizing temperatures and every pedal stroke in the heat felt one closer to death. By the time she completed the trip, Heidi discovered a newfound compassion for herself and a growing love for her country. Strangers opened their hearts to her and in turn, she opened her heart to herself. And her questions began to change and mirror things many Americans are asking themselves today: How can I be okay in my own skin? What does it mean to be enough? How do I satisfy my desire to travel without harming the planet? What does it mean to love America? For many young people, it is a rite of passage to light out on an adventure to see the world and expose themselves to new experiences, but we don’t often talk about how Americans seeing America can open us to the diversity, awe, and wonder available right here in our nation. Heidi Across America offers a journey to self-love, empathy, consideration for others, and respect for the spirit of place as pathways to find connection and home.
