Book excerpt: Continuing from Zohar Chadash the Kabbalah of Consciousness this picks up about midway through. Here we follow pathways of Thought as it flows through the Torah. We are taught that Thought is the Prime Mover. So many of the Torah allegories are about our thinking as to how it affects everything else in our lives.Side by side Hebrew with English Translation. Includes commentaries for each section which show the deeper meanings of Torah as it relates to Consciousness. It is filled with revelations that are proven through Torah verses and the insights offered by Rabbi Shimon, his son Eleazar, Rabbi Hanina, and Rabbi Kruspedai to name a few.The commentaries provide an unprecedented level of clarity all based on the realization that Thought is what makes this world go around. We connect to the Holy One Blessed be He through Thought and it is by Thought that we are able to gain practical advice in terms of our life situations. A large section is devoted to Song of Songs explaining its particular relationship to the developing Consciousness. Everything is explained in the commentaries in as concise a style as possible. The essence of this book as in other parts of the Zohar is to emphasize the unity that we all share together. If you are intrigued by the Mysteries of Torah you will find satisfaction in these pages. They truly go where no one has gone before. Everything in the Kabbalah Revealed Series has as it mission to bring the light down from above. What is this Light? It is the light of Wisdom where we may explain the obscure passages in modern psychological terms and generate new insights that will help us in all of our Torah studies. In a very real sense you get a flavor of the code of Torah which is Consciousness itself. Just as in the first book on Zohar Chadash this book pinpoints the symbolism and narrows it down to Thought. While the Zohar itself repeats the importance of Thought in our studies, this book takes that insight to higher levels of learning. At some point in the book we learn the true nature of Elijah and the wells of Miriam. We also learn the deeper message of forgiveness studying Joseph and his adventures. This book is meant with Intention to expand Consciousness. In that expansion it lives up to what Zohar Chadash (new things about the Zohar) has as it purpose. Once you begin the worlds of Torah come alive in a whole other way that answers questions about the Mysteries while at the same shows you more sublime Mysteries. The learning here just goes on and on.A good portion of the book is devoted to Ruth. There are so many revelations here in this section. Also it ties together with the other sections to provide an anchor point for study. Thought is that anchor point. It is one thing to try and ponder the obscure writings here and learn what the sages are saying about these Mysteries. It is another thing altogether to have the starting point of Thought to take you through these holy passages. The commentaries come at the end of each section and sometimes in the middle to elucidate some finer points. They are meant to integrate your Torah studies into your everyday lives providing practical connections that you can use right away. Zohar Chadash Revealed Volume Two enters a whole other landscape of Torah study. The answers you receive here will be your own. Here we are taught deeper meanings of Torah and by extension about the Way Things Work. It is both a manual for the instruction of Thought as well as a proving ground for our ideas about Creation and the Creator. It is uncanny how Zohar keep coming back to Thought as to what is behind all of Creation. In this book you will find that time provides a mirror for all of all reflections. What is required of us is to ask the questions and then stay around to learn the answers.Hashem is the great Mystery but here we find out that within us is all we need to awaken that divine connection.

Book Zohar Chadash Revealed Kabbalah of Consciousness

Download or read book Zohar Chadash Revealed Kabbalah of Consciousness written by Mark Siet and published by Zohar Chadash. This book was released on 2019-02 with total page 520 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Herein you will learn about the Kabbalah of Consciousness. Through Torah study you will come to see that however obscure the references are we can always relate them to Consciousness. Zohar Chadash Revealed is the study of select passages of Torah that are meant to bring out the mystery in ways in which will shine the light upon Consciousness. The entire point of these mystical writings are to connect Torah with Consciousness. The text speaks for itself but where it is unclear the commentary will fill in the blanks. Now Torah study should have a specific purpose other than immersing us in the holy language. It should also teach us about ourselves and what we can do to make our world a better place. Throughout this book you will find ways in which to connect your thoughts to those of Torah in ways that make sense. Imagine practicing the eternal keys of inspiration by reading with purpose the ancient text. The sages of Torah are here to explain things to us and where they leave off the commentary will add another level of learning. Here is where you will practice immersing yourself in the mystery. Once you realize that Consciousness has but one purpose to unite you with God, you will proceed with confidence knowing that what you are learning has always been a part of you and is now being awakened or remembered. How do we do this? We listen and connect what we know to that we are learning. Kabbalah is listening on every level of our being. It is listening with the expectation of learning more about the mystery.Think about it. Consciousness. The very act of thinking. It all comes down to reflection. Now this reflection brings us to that mirror that shows us the pictures we are making. It shows us in real time and in future time. All of this is a part of Consciousness. What we can conceive of is only limited by what we can believe in, what we can convince ourselves of as being true now just for now but as a template for filling our future with good. All of this arises from a phrase 'And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so.," (Genesis 1:9)The waters are Consciousness. It is a deep secret that is revealed about the ebb and flow of Consciousness including its movement from the spiritual into the actualization of what it has become. All of this you will find within. However, the best is yet to come. It is your own thoughts that will make this book a treasure for a lifetime of contemplation. By making some of this material available for the first time in English it opens up a world of inquiry that otherwise would remain hidden. One more thing. Through the verses explained and their commentary you will begin to see the greater design of Torah in a whole new light. This is perhaps the most amazing thing of all to come out of reading this book. Yes it will leave you wanting more but it will also teach you to bring forth the hidden knowledge that each of us contains within. Then you will develop a sense of discovery that is unquenchable. Once you learn the hidden keys of Consciousness it is Kabbalah that will open the doors for you. You will listen will everything within you. If you seek the higher knowledge, the secrets (Sod) of Torah this book is a wealth of information. Within these pages you not only learn the answers to the hidden mysteries, you also how to make those same inquiries yourself. You not only eat the fish you become an expert fisherman. Enter into the worlds without end that are presented here. Receive with joy the ancient wisdom that is made new each day. Soar with learning that never peaks and always goes beyond. It is simple and yet oh so sublime. Take the adventure of a lifetime and learn how to keep on going.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reshit Chochmah, one of the classics of East European and Sephardic Jewry, has appeared in numerous editions. A combination of spiritual and moral advice in a deeply kabbalistic framework, it provides an irresistible model of personal redemption that is integral to the process of cosmic redemption. By improving oneself, one redeems the world. The popularity of Rabbi Eliyahu de Vidas's work has continued into modern times, and it was one of the first Hebrew books reprinted after the Holocaust. The current translation from the original Hebrew of one of its most significant parts, The Gate of Love, now appears together with an extended introduction. This introduction defines vital kabbalistic terms and concepts, and sets the entire work within its kabbalistic context. With these aids, this classic of Jewish spiritual guidance will be accessible to the modern reader who might otherwise find Rabbi de Vidas's exposition very difficult to follow.

Book The Wiley Blackwell Companion to Religion and Ecology

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the face of the current environmental crisis—which clearly has moral and spiritual dimensions—members of all the world’s faiths have come to recognize the critical importance of religion’s relationship to ecology. The Wiley Blackwell Companion to Religion and Ecology offers a comprehensive overview of the history and the latest developments in religious engagement with environmental issues throughout the world. Newly commissioned essays from noted scholars of diverse faiths and scientific traditions present the most cutting-edge thinking on religion’s relationship to the environment. Initial readings explore the ways traditional concepts of nature in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and other religious traditions have been shaped by the environmental crisis. Readings then address the changing nature of theology and religious thought in response to the challenges of protecting the environment. Various conceptual issues and themes that transcend individual traditions—climate change, bio-ethics, social justice, ecofeminism, and more—are then analyzed before a final section examines some of the immediate challenges we face in caring for the Earth while looking to the future of religious environmentalism. Timely and thought-provoking, Companion to Religion and Ecology offers illuminating insights into the role of religion in the ongoing struggle to secure the future well-being of our natural world. Download or read book The Bahir written by Aryeh Kaplan and published by Weiser Books. This book was released on 2001-01-15 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bahir is one of the oldest and most influential of all classical Kabbalah texts. Until the publication of the Zohar, the Bahir was the most widely quoted primary source of Kabbalistic teachings. The Bahir is quoted in every major book on Kabbalah, the earliest being the Raavad's commentary on Sefer Yetzirah, and it is cited numerous times by Rabbi Moshe ben Nachman (Ramban) in his commentary on the Torah. It is also quoted many times in the Zohar. It was first published around 1176 by the Provence school of Kabbalists; the first printed edition appeared in Amsterdam in 1651. The name Bahir is derived from the first verse quoted in the text (Job 37:21), "And now they do not see light, it is brilliant (Bahir) in the skies." It is also called the "Midrash of Rabbi Nehuniah ben HaKana," particularly by the Ramban. The reason might be that Rabbi Nehuniah's name is at the very beginning of the book, but most Kabbalists actually attribute the Bahir to him and his school. Some consider it the oldest kabbalistic text ever written. Although the Bahir is a fairly small book, some 12,000 words in all, it was very highly esteemed among those who probed its mysteries. Rabbi Judah Chayit, a prominent fifteenth-century Kabbalist, writes, "Make this book a crown for your head." Much of the text is very difficult to understand, and Rabbi Moshe Cordevero (1522-1570), head of the Safed school of Kabbalah, says, "The words of this text are bright (Bahir) and sparkling, but their brilliance can blind the eye." One of the most important concepts revealed in the Bahir is that of the Ten Sefirot, and careful analysis of these discussions yields much of what will be found in later kabbalistic works, as well as their relation to anthropomorphism and the reason for the commandments. Also included is a discussion of reincarnation, or Gilgul, an interpretation of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, the Thirty-two Paths of Wisdom, and the concept of Tzimtzum.

David Mevorach Seidenberg challenges the anthropocentric reading of the Torah, showing that a radically different orientation to the more-than-human world of nature is not only possible, but that such an orientation also leads to a more accurate interpretation of scripture, rabbinic texts, Maimonides and Kabbalah. Deeply grounded in traditional texts and fluent with the physical sciences, this book proposes not only a new understanding of God's image but also a new direction for restoring religion to its senses and to a more alive relationship with the more-than-human, both with nature and with divinity.

Book excerpt: Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe, famously stated that we must "live with the times," thereby experiencing the teachings of the Torah related to each week of the year. Similar to the zodiac, where every month has its own symbolism, every week of the Jewish calendar also has a unique meaning. Kahane and Wainer explain that the calendar is the master key to unlock the hidden rationale behind the formal structure of ancient sacred texts, as well as to understand basic mystical concepts. When comprehended within the context of the Jewish calendar, these works reveal the spiritual energy of each week, serving as a practical guide for self-analysis and development. During this annual journey, we will learn to live with greater harmony, happiness and gratitude by learning from the Kabbalah, from age-old Jewish ethical teachings, and even from animals. The objective is to make the reader be in touch with the spiritual powers of each week, thereby improving ones daily conduct and rediscovering the universal song within each one of us: the song of the soul.
