Download or read book Don t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table written by Louie Giglio and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength in the midst of any valley as you reject the enemy voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. Scripture is clear: the Enemy is a liar who will stop at nothing to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets, making you feel afraid, angry, anxious, or defeated. It is all too easy for Satan to weasel his way into a seat at the table intended for only you and your King. But you can fight back. Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table outlines the ways to overcome those lies so you can find peace and security in any challenging circumstance or situation. With the same bold, exciting approach to Scripture as employed in Goliath Must Fall and his other previous works, pastor Louie Giglio examines Psalm 23 in fresh ways, highlighting verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." You can find freedom from insecurity, temptation, and defeat--if you allow Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for your mind and heart. This spiritual warfare book for those who are leery of spiritual warfare books will resonate with Louie's core Passion tribe as well as with Christians of all ages who want to live a triumphant life in God.

Download or read book Toward Campoluna written by Christie W. Kiefer and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2007-10 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Toward Campoluna captures the romance and excitement of a unique generation in a unique place. In 1955, lifeguard and surf bum Corky McCork and his bighearted artist friend, Reebar Tornay, hit the road for some adventure. When they come to the aid of barefoot and bleeding Eliomara Vasquez, the three become interlinked in an international adventure that lasts a lifetime. The men help the feisty Eliomara to escape the border patrol authorities who want to send her back to Mexico, and then Corky, Reebar, and Eliomara continue on to individual journeys, facing countless dangers and challenges, before their lives again intersect, many years later, in a joint quest for meaning, purpose, and peace. The three come back together, this time joined by Lumina, the beautiful Bulgarian eccentric; Tireseo, the blind poet-revolutionary; Sylvia, the enigmatic spy; and Pulo, the breeder of fighting cocks; to form Campoluna, a rugged artists' colony in rural Mexico. Meant to be a haven in the face of a drastically changing world and the Vietnam War, Campoluna becomes a test of the precarious balance between the magnificent loneliness of individuality and the arduous pleasure of human bonds, as well as a testament to the power of collectively embracing life with vigor and hope. "Vivid characters, an overwhelming plot, strong passions, defeats and hopes and longing, compassion and loneliness this is literature " -Edvard Hoem, author of Ave Eva and The Ferry Crossing
Download or read book Raped in the Church written by Mohadeebah and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2019-11-12 with total page 57 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is not intended for everyone to read or for everyone to like; it is for the millions of people who have been unjustly raped in the church, without any type of human justice or foreseeable biblical justice. This book is for those who have been hurt or abused in the natural, psychological, mental, physical, and the spiritual realm. If you are a new convert, do not read this book, because some things may shock you or even shake your faith in your local lay members or clergy, who do not deserve any unjust criticism. Some stories may seem unreal but they are based on real life events of everyday people who you see or are seen in the sanctuary worshiping God never knowing what they are going through or why they leave the church today, some even convert to other religions. As a result of hurt and frustration many never return to the organized church and prefer a relationship with God through television evangelist. I am not targeting Christianity but most of the stories and events are from people who are or once was a Christian, I must say in all fairness I must say that I‘m a Christian and this book is written from a Christian point of view. It’s written to heal as well as inform that not everyone in the church is of the church, meaning the kingdom of God. To the clergy and lay members please remember this the Lord said (woe unto the Shepherd that scatter MY Sheep), he said that we are the sheep of his pasture. Many people in leadership today seem to forget that very important fact, that we are not theirs to command and bid as they see fit. If you choose to read this book, you will always have an awareness of what is going on with those who have been spiritually raped. Some people may not believe you when you tell them what you have read and what you learned which is fine. Remember they did not believe Jesus either. Finally as one pastor once said to me many years ago (that education stuff isn’t going to get you anywhere), he/she didn’t know that the bible has been translated by some of the best scholars of our time, and our theology has had may contributors throughout history. From the Quakers, Shakers, Lutheran, Catholic, Jews, and even Mormons. The lord said that knowledge would steadily increase, and if a man lacks knowledge or wisdom let him ask God who gives limberly and upbraids not.

Download or read book The Magic of Viral Energy written by Penelope Jean Hayes and published by Morgan James Publishing. This book was released on 2019-11-05 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Want to find “your person,” improve your wellbeing, and be successful at your passions? The Magic of Viral Energy (MOVE) offers a fun and compelling narrative told through true short stories. Its message is for seekers—those intrepids who want to squeeze the lemons of life and discover their full potential. While meditating in 2007, Penelope Jean Hayes experienced the contagious nature of energy and a phenomenon she calls “osmotic-energy-balancing.” Over the next decade, she intuited a system of creation involving seven levels of energy ascending from dense and heavy upward to enlightenment. She shares that each of us has an energetic-presence that flows within one of these levels and that we only have access to the energies that reside there. Except that, we have the ability to move to higher strata, accessing the light energies that create more of what we truly want. MOVE reveals provocative insights into the universe; our relationships; the energetic antidote to unhappiness and the common cold; and our need to move from power-through-force to empowerment-through-creation. The Magic of Viral Energy is eye-opening and exciting and it makes day-to-day life easier and our big dreams possible. “The Magic of Viral Energy could not be timelier, in my opinion. MOVE helps us recognize and understand ourselves. Viral energy is food for our soul—that’s why it’s magical.” —Peter Egan, actor, Downton Abbey, Unforgotten, and Ever Decreasing Circles
