Moreover, epidemics of HIV, drug abuse and smoking addiction take a greater toll on the population. And these local problems need to be explored and presented with a scholarly perspective. The Textbook of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine has successfully incorporated these sociodemographic factors into the subject matter.
