Book From the Inside Florida Divorce

Download or read book From the Inside Florida Divorce written by Michael A. Garfield and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2013-10-02 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction From the INSIDE Now, for the first time you get to see the Family Court system through the eyes of the Court appointed Family Court Program Specialist, Pro Se Coordinator, an insider. The term "Pro Se" will be used through out this workbook and is used when someone represents themselves in Family Court either as a Petitioner, (the person starting the filing) or the Respondent, (the person who responds to the filing). The Pro Se Coordinator, a non-lawyer, helps people representing themselves fill in and file state approved forms designed to accomplish Dissolution of Marriage, Custody, Visitation, Adoption, Modifications, Child Support, Contempt/ Enforcement and more. Let me tell you a little about what I did at the 16th Judicial Circuit Court between 2000 to 2002. What I'm about to write is still valid today, July 2013. As the Family Court Program Specialist, Pro Se Coordinator, I worked with the public and the court under the administration section. That's right; the court has both a Family Court PROGRAM and an administrative arm. I supported the Court in many ways. Part of what I did was to review case files before they went to the Judge. I made sure that the forms were complete, correct and ready for hearing or trial. Sometimes I reviewed files at the request of a Judge, Judicial Assistant or Court Administrator. In addition, I did case management. Case Management is the process where all case files are reviewed, Pro Se and Attorney filings alike. The Court wants to make sure that justice is swift and that cases move as quickly as possible through the system. While the general public doesn't know it, the administrative division keeps statistics and strives to move cases along using the case management process. There are time limit goals. This Work Book will help you understand the process.

Book The Florida Man s Guide to Getting Divorced

Download or read book The Florida Man s Guide to Getting Divorced written by Vanessa Vasquez de Lara and published by . This book was released on 2023-05-18 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dads get blindsided by divorce all the time. Approximately 70% of divorces are initiated by the women. And unfortunately, the all-to-common response of men is to stick their heads in the sand and just react to whatever their soon-to-be ex-wife does. Emotions run wild, and before you know it, you're getting bullied by lawyers, acting like you're already divorced, becoming angry, depressed, vindictive, and making rash decisions that will affect you, and your kids, for the rest of your lives. It's a recipe for disaster and no wonder that men often fare far worse in divorce than women. But just because your entire world is about to be turned upside down, it doesn't mean you have to be dragged into this unprepared, making illogical choices that will hurt you in the long run. You can be ready to negotiate from a rational place of confidence and strength. However, that requires you to see the full picture of what's about to happen. It's not just about understanding what's going to happen in court. You need to understand what's going to happen with your finances, your house, your assets, and your credit. And you also need to be aware of how to take care of your physical health, your mental health - and despite what she's said about you - yes, you have emotional health to take care of, too. But divorce advice can't just be general. Literally, every state has different laws, rules, and procedures when it comes to divorce. That's why attorney Vanessa Vasquez de Lara wrote this book specifically for the Florida man. And while there's a particular focus on dads in the Sunshine State, some of the advice in this book will benefit any man going through a divorce. Vanessa has been practicing law in Florida for 20 years, and through building one of the top family law firms in Miami, she has seen just about every divorce situation you can imagine. What's more, though, she's also built an amazing network of professionals that can help in all those other areas of life that often get overlooked in divorce - and assembled them here. Every chapter of this book has been written by one of these professionals and gives unique perspectives on how you can come through this divorce as the best possible version of you. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Socially. Financially. Divorce is going to be an ending that you never intended. But it's also going to be a new beginning. It's not going to be easy. It never is. But you can get through it, and the more you know about what to expect and how to take care of yourself through the process, the better the outcome for you and your kids. This book will help.

Book The Ex Wives Guide to Divorce

Download or read book The Ex Wives Guide to Divorce written by Holiday Miller and published by Skyhorse Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2016-08-16 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Witnessing a woman go through divorce is like watching a tornado tear up a trailer park. Not only is someone losing their home and life as they know it, but for most women, it seems to go down with some extra drama thrown in the mix. This is where the advice of authors, Holiday Miller and Valerie Shepherd, two experts in all things divorce, comes in handy. Their unique friendship began after they had both married and divorced the same man! The Ex Wives’ Guide to Divorce was born from this friendship with the goal to ease women’s fears, save them money, and give them a road map of what lies ahead. It will motivate women to get their head out of the sand and build their future dream sand castle by themselves, sans Prince Charming. Divorce is painful, heartbreaking, and pretty miserable for everyone involved. While men tend to champion the process, most women collapse and become emotionally distracted. Miller and Shepherd’s experience is while the husband is gathering ammunition with his high paid attorney; the wife is frantic and disorganized—most likely spending her energy on the phone with her best friend or sister, instead of preparing herself for the battle ahead. This helpful guide teaches women how to manage the “business of divorce” in a focused, realistic, and organized manner. Miller and Shepherd aren’t lawyers or psychologists, but they’ve experienced the process first hand and offer advice on how to build a support system and come out ahead. This book charges women to “put their big girl panties on” and maintain a tenacious spirit while preparing and organizing for their divorce.
