In order to separate this stearoptene (solid portion of the Oil) from the elaoptene (liquid portion) 50 grams of the Oil were subjected to a freezing mixture of ice and salt for several hours. AS a result crystals separated in the form Of white flakes. The crystals were thrown into a force filter and weighed, a total of 3 per cent resulting.
