Download or read book Facial Magic Rediscover the Youthful Face You Thought You Had Lost Forever written by Cynthia Rowland and published by . This book was released on 2017-05-10 with total page 133 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Once in a while a product line comes along that offers men and women the opportunity to truly reclaim the youthful face they thought they had lost forever. Without drugs, electricity or anything harmful or hurtful millions of people worldwide have successfully and reliably used exercise to trim, lift and tone sagging muscles. Just like muscles in the body can be exercised, the facial muscles can greatly benefit from exercise but not just any exercise will do. Contortions, twists, puckers and funny faces will not shape or contour sagging facial muscles in a mature face. The Facial Magic facial exercise system will lift, tone and tighten sagging facial muscles. These proven, easy-to-execute isometric movements require only minutes a day to perform and most users say they look 5, 10 even 15 years younger in just weeks as eyelids tighten, eye brows lift, the forehead smoothes, jowls and pouches melt away as double chins lessen, dramatically revealing a sculpted jaw line. Facial Magic provides the look of a face lift without surgery, seams or risk of infection. Using only the thumbs and fingers while wearing special exercise gloves, your "age erasers" will produce immediate lifting and tightening of the facial features. In about three weeks the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles become less apparent as the muscles plump up the skin helping the user's face look refreshed, radiant and younger. This book contains all 18 Facial Magic exercises. Learn two exercises each week - each exercise requires 35 seconds - so in just minutes a day you will feel and see the youthful results you desire.

  • Author : Hans Florine
  • Publisher : Rowman & Littlefield
  • Release : 2016-09-01
  • ISBN : 149302499X
  • Pages : 240 pages

Download or read book On the Nose written by Hans Florine and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2016-09-01 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hans Florine embodies the genius of "and"—collaborative and competitive, fast and safe, audacious and disciplined, visionary and quantitative. The themes that run through Florine's 101 ascents of Yosemite's most iconic route can benefit people who will never climb a rock, indeed anyone inspired by the idea of a passionate, lifelong quest of any type. —Jim Collins, author of Good to Great Hans Florine is a big-wall climbing legend in his own time. He holds the speed record on the Nose route of El Capitan, a 3,000-foot granite cliff in Yosemite Valley that’s considered the Everest of the rock-climbing world. Ascending the Nose takes most climbers anywhere from 12 to 96 hours. Florine, along with climbing partner Alex Honnold, does it in an astounding 2.5 hours. But Florine’s story is not one of super-human athletic prowess; it’s one of persistence and dogged determination. In 30 years of climbing, he's ascended the Nose a mind-blowing, death-defying 100 times, more than anyone else ever has, and most likely ever will. In On the Nose, Florine describes the most dangerous, pivotal, and inspirational of those climbs, providing a rare look inside the adrenaline-charged world of competitive climbing in Yosemite Valley. He tells of his very first attempt on the Nose, which ended in failure after 14 hours, his friendships (and rivalries) with climbing’s most colorful personalities, and his battle with Dean Potter to secure the definitive speed record on the Nose—an endeavor that’s been called the wildest competition known to man. Perhaps most interestingly, Florine attempts to answer the question why. Why would anyone undertake one of the greatest adventure epics on earth 100 times? His answers provide unique insights on how to live a satisfying life, how to achieve big goals, and how an otherwise ordinary guy can become a rock star.

Book According to Kate

Download or read book According to Kate written by Chris Enss and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2019-10-01 with total page 185 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: *2020 Will Rogers Medallion Award Winner (Western Biographies)* Doc Holliday’s paramour Big Nose Kate could never get a publisher to give her the big bucks she demanded to tell the story of her life, but that didn’t mean she didn’t collect material she wanted to use in a biography. Over the fifty years Mary Kate Cummings, alias Big Nose Kate, traversed the West she saved letters from her family, musings she had written about her love interests, and life with the notorious John Henry Holliday. Using rare, never before published material Big Nose Kate stock-piled in anticipation of writing the tale of her days on the Wild Frontier, the definitive book about the famous soiled dove will finally be told. Kate claims to have witnessed the Gunfight at the OK Corral and exchanged words with the likes of Wyatt Earp and Josephine Marcus. There’s no doubt she embellished her adventures, but that doesn’t take away from their historical importance. She was a controversial figure in a rough and rowdy territory. What she witnessed, the lifestyle she led, and the influential western people she met are fascinating and represent a time period much romanticized.

Book And The Earth Will Sit On The Moon

Download or read book And The Earth Will Sit On The Moon written by Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol and published by Pushkin Press. This book was released on 2019-12-05 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fresh, stylish new translations of Gogol's greatest short stories collected in a beautiful edition 'One of the most profound, and influential, writers Russia has ever produced, he is probably also the funniest' Guardian 'The most morally complete writer: baffled, outraged, reverent, mock-didactic, mocking, all at once. He honours life by feeling no one way about it' GEORGE SAUNDERS No writer has captured the absurdity of the human condition as acutely as Nikolai Gogol. In a lively new translation by Oliver Ready, this collection contains his great classic stories - 'The Overcoat', 'The Nose' and 'Diary of a Madman' - alongside lesser known gems depicting life in the Russian and Ukranian countryside. Together, they reveal Gogol's marvellously skewed perspective, moving between the urban and the rural with painfully sharp humour and scorching satire. Strikingly modern in his depictions of society's shambolic structures, Gogol plunders the depths of bureaucratic and domestic banalities to unearth moments of dark comedy and outrageous corruption. Defying categorisation, the stories in this collection range from the surreal to the satirical to the grotesque, united in their exquisite psychological acuteness and tender insights into the bizarre irrationalities of the human soul. Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol (1809-1852) was born in Ukraine and moved to St Petersburg after his studies in 1828 to work, at first, in various government departments. His first collection of stories, Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka (1831), brought him widespread fame, and he went on to write further collections of stories, as well as the play The Government Inspector. The first part of his great, and only, novel Dead Souls appeared in 1842. In his later life he was increasingly tormented both physically and psychologically and he repeatedly burned his manuscripts, including the second part of Dead Souls. After the final burning in February 1852, he stopped eating and died in great pain ten days later.
