Download or read book Why are men taught how to treat women correctly But women aren t taught how to treat men correctly written by TJ Clemons and published by TJ Clemons. This book was released on with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a step in the direction of reality. Our society teaches us as men to cherish and respect women. We are taught from a very young age not to hit women and to handle them with extreme care. We are fed the doctrine that women are made up of “sugar and spice and everything nice!” There is some truth to this notion of the female nature. But then there is the other side of the coin. A lot of women tend to act out emotionally. Some of them to extreme levels. Women can be as unpredictable as the weather. This is to such an extreme that up until recent history all the tropical hurricane storms were given female names because of the extreme nature of their destructive power and energy. I myself respect women up to the point that they become disrespectful with me. Then in that case I may or may not choose to entertain their antics. I also don’t believe in putting my hands on a woman in anger. But I will use the necessary force to protect myself from hurt, harm, or danger. Some men don’t use restraint and tend to go by the notion that if they can put their hands on them like a man then they have the absolute right to return the same or a higher level of physical force. This brings me to the current topic at hand. If men are taught from children how to deal with and treat a woman, then why are women not given the same lessons when it comes to dealing with their male counterparts? It seems like it would be a common sense response. But it is not in fact a common practice. In fact women are often encouraged to do the exact opposite. They are in some cases given the green light to act out in uncivilized manners. Women will often congregate and have conversations about this same topic. They will encourage each other to act like a “bitch.” They will often celebrate and inspire their female friends and relatives to treat the men that they love and cherish like he is unworthy of her affections. I believe this is an act of other bitter and scorned women who want to destroy healthy and happy relationships. This sounds very crazy when you say it out loud but this happens quite often in our society. It is practically a right of passage. I have witnessed it with my own eyes and ears. These women will hype up their female associates into an emotionally destructive frenzy. And when the preverbal chips fall where they may and the dust clears these “supportive” female’s then will take no responsibility for your viscous actions. They will stand in amazement and in some cases blame the same woman that they gave this outrageous advice to for following their otherwise friendly recommendations. They may even step in and pick up the pieces and become “friendly” with your former male associate. So before you listen to a group of potential female haters take a moment and debate the notion of their motivation to sabotage your loving partnership. There is power in their words and actions. And there is equal power in your reaction to their subliminal suggestions. Sometimes it is better to think for yourself rather than seek the advice of others.
Download or read book Why does it seem like so many men and women are in competition and playing games with each other written by TJ Clemons and published by TJ Clemons. This book was released on with total page 109 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a very high probability that men and women may not smoothly get along based on the fact that they have a very different type of thought process. Then you start adding other factors and it can easily become a recipe for disaster. The way each of them handles their finances is a perfect example of how a disagreement can occur. We are different on many other levels including hormonal and emotional. Men are often problem solvers while women are often nurturers. These dynamics are small but they can make a big difference in many aspects of life. For example men often are expected to take on the role as a financial provider while women are often expecting to instinctually take on the caregiving roles of wives and mothers. Then you add on the outside pressures of society and your loving home can quickly turn into a battle ground of the sexes. It can even become even more complicated based on the various gender mixture and make up in the balance of every individual household. This can easily lead to a balance of power of one gender over the other making one more dominant over the other in the daily decision making aspects of their living conditions. Now that I have your attention I am ready to talk about this clash of the titans as men and women enter into the dating and relationship realm of their lives. The struggle for dominance naturally occurs in the process of self- preservation in the evolution of mankind as we continue into adult situations. I definitely enjoyed the direction that writing this literary work of art set me in. Enjoy the twists and various angles that this conversation takes. It definitely took a left turn into the realm of the reality of a very toxic real life relationship that we examine from the inside out and dissect it.

Download or read book Strong Women Fed Up Men Defeated Sons Broken Daughters written by Mark Momplaisir and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2021-02-04 with total page 161 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HEALING GENERATIONAL PAIN THROUGH UNDERSTANDING. FORGIVENESS. PURPOSE. SELF-CARE. SELF-LOVE. SACRIFICIAL LOVE. As the saying goes, those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it. In Strong Women, Fed-Up Men, Defeated Sons, Broken Daughters, Mark Momplaisir calls for rebuilding a culture that was founded on racial disparity, brokenness, detrimental patterns inherited from slavery, and generational hurt. Mark’s plea for mental, spiritual, and physical healing arises from the fundamental understanding that people of African descent have endured a painful past. A past that has defined who we are, how we are, and where we are. In order to be the people we were intended to be, and to live the purposeful, peaceful, and meaningful life we were created to live, we must understand our history, the lessons our parents taught us, and how our past influences our behavior and relationships. Our communities are being torn apart by dysfunctional, unhealthy, and unproductive ways of interacting with one another. Mark explains how understanding, self-love, self-care, purpose, forgiveness, grace, and sacrificial love can create a life that is peaceful and purpose-filled. In his book, Mark shows us how to embark on the journey of healing, learning, and unlearning generational patterns so we can live a life of peace, happiness, and prosperity.
Download or read book Men Explain Things to Me written by Rebecca Solnit and published by Haymarket Books. This book was released on 2014-04-14 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The National Book Critics Circle Award–winning author delivers a collection of essays that serve as the perfect “antidote to mansplaining” (The Stranger). In her comic, scathing essay “Men Explain Things to Me,” Rebecca Solnit took on what often goes wrong in conversations between men and women. She wrote about men who wrongly assume they know things and wrongly assume women don’t, about why this arises, and how this aspect of the gender wars works, airing some of her own hilariously awful encounters. She ends on a serious note— because the ultimate problem is the silencing of women who have something to say, including those saying things like, “He’s trying to kill me!” This book features that now-classic essay with six perfect complements, including an examination of the great feminist writer Virginia Woolf’s embrace of mystery, of not knowing, of doubt and ambiguity, a highly original inquiry into marriage equality, and a terrifying survey of the scope of contemporary violence against women. “In this series of personal but unsentimental essays, Solnit gives succinct shorthand to a familiar female experience that before had gone unarticulated, perhaps even unrecognized.” —The New York Times “Essential feminist reading.” —The New Republic “This slim book hums with power and wit.” —Boston Globe “Solnit tackles big themes of gender and power in these accessible essays. Honest and full of wit, this is an integral read that furthers the conversation on feminism and contemporary society.” —San Francisco Chronicle “Essential.” —Marketplace “Feminist, frequently funny, unflinchingly honest and often scathing in its conclusions.” —Salon

Download or read book Youth Gender and the Capabilities Approach to Development written by Aurora Lopez-Fogues and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-10-12 with total page 325 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Youth, Gender and the Capabilities Approach to Development investigates to what extent young people have access to fair opportunities, the factors influencing their aspirations, and how able they are to pursue these aspirations and to carry out their life plans. The book positions itself in the intersection between capabilities, youth and gender, in recognition of the fact that without gender equality, capabilities cannot be universal and development strategies are likely to fail to achieve their full objectives. Within the framework of the human development and capabilities approach, Youth, Gender and the Capabilities Approach to Development focuses on examples in the areas of education, political spaces, and social practices that confront inequality and injustice head on, by seeking to advance young people’s capabilities and their agency to make valuable life plans. The book focuses how youth policies and issues can be approached globally from a capabilities-friendly perspective; arguing for the promotion of freedoms and opportunities both in educational and political spheres, with the aim of developing a more just world. With a range of studies from multiple and diverse national contexts, including Russia, Spain, South Africa, Tanzania, Morocco, Turkey, Syria, Colombia, India and Argentina, this important multidisciplinary collection will be of interest to researchers within youth studies, gender studies and development studies, as well as to policy makers and NGOs.
