Download or read book When I Come Up Missing written by Cecelia Mallory and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2011-03 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea for this booklet was founded in my love for family members who have not yet believed in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and the gift of eternal life in heaven. I felt lead by the Lord to prepare those who will face the feelings of loss and despair if left behind after the Rapture. Although there are those who believe that the Rapture will happen in my lifetime, as God's Word says, no one but the Father knows the day or the hour. No matter what generation experiences the Lord's return for His family, the results will be the same. I pray that this booklet touches the lives of those whom you love and that many come to the Lord before His return. May God bless you and carry you through. Cecelia Mallory, born in 1966, is the last of six children. Although her parents were loving and hard-working, a life of limited funds and challenged relationships shaped her youth. She married at the age of twenty, to a nice and hard-working man. It wasn't until she reached her late thirties and faced a troubled marriage that she gave her life to the Lord. God has been very faithful to restore her marriage and grow her faith. It is with this joy that she shares God's love with those who are still lost. Her newfound purpose is to pass on the wisdom that the Lord has graciously given her. She and her husband, Kevin, live in beautiful North Idaho and enjoy all that God chooses to give them, including forgiveness, love, and mercy and the boldness to share Him with others. The area in which these disappearances occurred became publicly referred to as 'The Vanishing Triangle'. To date, none of the missing females have ever been located. These six unsolved cases resulted in the creation of the specialist Garda task force 'Operation Trace', set up in the hope of finding a connection between the missing women. None was found. The task force investigated dozens of unsolved cases of women gone missing in Ireland. Alan Bailey served as the National Coordinator for the task force for thirteen years, and the revealing stories in Missing, Presumedall come from his personal experiences in this role. Missing, Presumed details, and reports on, the Garda investigations into the case studies of fifteen women who disappeared over a time span of twenty years. In almost half of the cases, the women's badly mutilated bodies were recovered, sometimes months later, buried in shallow graves. Each chapter focuses on one woman's story, and details the timeline of events that led to her disappearance, beginning on the day of her disappearance through to the ensuing investigation, and up to - when lucky - a conviction. These stories are haunting, terrifying, and true. 'It is now sixteen years since Trace was established. The families and friends of both the disappeared and those whose bodies were found still await closure.'

Download or read book Missing Out written by Adam Phillips and published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. This book was released on 2013-01-22 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the leading psychoanalyst Adam Phillips comes Missing Out, a transformative book about the lives we wish we had and what they can teach us about who we are All of us lead two parallel lives: the one we are actively living, and the one we feel we should have had or might yet have. As hard as we try to exist in the moment, the unlived life is an inescapable presence, a shadow at our heels. And this itself can become the story of our lives: an elegy to unmet needs and sacrificed desires. We become haunted by the myth of our own potential, of what we have in ourselves to be or to do. And this can make of our lives a perpetual falling-short. But what happens if we remove the idea of failure from the equation? With his flair for graceful paradox, the acclaimed psychoanalyst Adam Phillips suggests that if we accept frustration as a way of outlining what we really want, satisfaction suddenly becomes possible. To crave a life without frustration is to crave a life without the potential to identify and accomplish our desires. In this elegant, compassionate, and absorbing book, Phillips draws deeply on his own clinical experience as well as on the works of Shakespeare and Freud, of D. W. Winnicott and William James, to suggest that frustration, not getting it, and and getting away with it are all chapters in our unlived lives—and may be essential to the one fully lived.

Book Ten Golden Fields

Download or read book Ten Golden Fields written by Wen Henagan and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2014-09-15 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ten Golden Fields is a deliberate attempt to allow readers of fiction tales a more relaxing and fresh venue when they think they have some time to read. We hear tales about reading books falling off various cliffs. I think one reason is because people genuinely are in a nearly permanent hurry mode in their lives. In this book, anyone can read for thirty minutes and take in enough of a story to feel they have consumed something very entertaining and interesting for their soul-psyche. Its unlikely they will forget the characters and the next time they pick up the story to read; it can be a natural continuum. Also, I want these characters to say and do things that make them almost leap out of the pages and into the lives of my readers. To that end, I feel confident in saying that you will remember something about Ten Golden Fields in five years. And thats a very good thing for both of us.
