That beautiful reflection makes us wonderfully detailed and is called redemptive gifting. Our redemptive gifting is our original design, our hardwiring, our instinctive reactions, our personalized intuitiveness, and so much more. You Are My Beloved, a lovely, lyrical devotional, does not fully describe the gifts, as that would take volumes, but it addresses one aspect of each. It explores God's word to discover deeper revelations of our design as well as extending the invitation for greater intimacy with the Lord; to catch His breath and then catch ours. Exploring our fullest identity in Christ while steeping in the truth that You Are My Beloved.

When these deacons, who come from vastly different spiritual, professional, and educational backgrounds, responded to God's call, they soon became aware of the profound impact their decision would make on their lives as husbands, fathers, and, most of all, servants of God. Any person who experiences a crisis of faith or wants to deepen his or her relationship with God, will find the theological, pastoral, and spiritual aspects of these essays informative as they will inspire further reflection and discernment. Each of the essays can be read as a guide to ministry that provides personal and experiential advice about how to minister in a God-centered and healing manner. A person considering a religious vocation, or any man discerning God's call as a permanent deacon, or is a candidate or a deacon now, will appreciate the honesty with which each deacon describes the expected and unexpected stages of his journey.

Download or read book Discipled Leadership written by Rev. Benjamin A. Vima and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2018-12-18 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The content of the book is a keen observation and thorough analysis and transparent proclamation on Church leadership with all its bright and dark sides as of today. In the light of Jesus’ Gospel-democracy, leadership here zooms out to all humans who have committed to Jesus as their Master who has granted them reciprocally in their Baptismal birth a big share in his leadership. Together with leadership-right Jesus too has put before them many demanding missives and indispensable duties to be fulfilled. This book is made of three sections: Genesis of discipled leadership; Master’s personal demands from discipled leaders; and His official demands from them in executing discipled-leadership. It is a book of the day when thousand and one heinous complains and reports, blasted out in social media against the political and social leadership and very sadly against religious and spiritual leaders. Some of those reports may be probably out of proportion; but almost 85% of them are experiential, legally-investigated and publicly confessed and testified by so many eyewitnesses. Author Fr. Vima assures, if the content of the book is meditated and prayed, chapter by chapter, there will be lot of spiritual and mental gain and support for the readers, especially those who struggle in their management of critical leadership in the Church environment.

Download or read book The Kerygmatic Spirit written by Amos Yong and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2018-11-06 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of fifteen sermons by one of the leading pentecostal theologians today provides insight into the form, style, and content of preaching in the pentecostal tradition while also being suggestive of normative homiletical theory and practice. The Kergymatic Spirit argues that Spirit-empowered preaching is apostolic not only with regard to being rooted in the scriptural traditions but also with regard to connecting the that of the early Christian message with the this of contemporary experience and discipleship. Hence, rather than only reflecting pentecostal preaching of the sort that happens in the pulpits of churches connected to the modern movement by that name, these sermons are presented as the participating in the form of gospel proclamation inspired and empowered by the divine Spirit poured out on all flesh on the Day of Pentecost by the risen Christ from the right hand of the Father. Whether read or heard (there are links to video and audio archives throughout), these homilies are illustrative of exegetical and expositional practice that connects the biblical text with Spirit-filled faithfulness in the twenty-first-century ecumenical church and world at large.

Book The Call to Islam da wa islamiyya

Finally, the question is raised about the challenges that daʻwa activities of a conservative or an Islamist Islam pose for liberal and democratic societies.

Book The Call of Moses and the Exodus Story

Download or read book The Call of Moses and the Exodus Story written by Jaeyoung Jeon and published by Mohr Siebeck. This book was released on 2013-11-05 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jaeyoung Jeon examines and assesses recently suggested models for the formation of the Pentateuch through a redactional-critical analysis of the Call of Moses (Exod. 3-4) and the Exodus story (Exod. 5-13). He observes that Exod. 3-4 was formed through a series of stages of Deuteronomistic composition and redaction, to which some post-Priestly additions were made. Comparative analysis suggests that the elements of Deuteronomistic formation precede P and that the direction of influence is from the non-P narrative (Exod. 3-4) to the P call narrative (Exod. 6). Jeon also shows that although some of the literary layers in Exod. 3-4 extend through the Exodus story (Exod. 5-13), the present form of the latter has been shaped by a post-Deuteronomistic but pre-Priestly composition based on an earlier proto-Exodus story. He therefore concludes that the Pentateuch or Hexateuch might be the product of a more complicated process of development than the current models describe.
