A.small fraction of the power is developed by a fourteen foot log dam.built in 1857. This old dam.gives a ten foot head under favorable conditions of moderately lov'vater, and furnishes power to run a flour mill. It leaks a large amount of tater and requires costly repairs annually. The owners have decided to abandon the mill, and enter upon the construction of a much larger dam.farther down stream, ewhere additional fall can be obtainer, and with the water power obtained, operate a hydroeelectric plant.
