Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a message for those who are broken, for those who have lost hope, and those who are trying to find their way. In the pages of this book, you will see a mirrored reflection and an instant replay of a not-so-favorite movie entitled "YOU!" As you begin to read through the pages, you'll find that there is someone else like you: someone who has been broken, whose life had been torn apart, whose heart was unable to forgive. A person who had not been able to truly love, not even herself, because of the hurt, bitterness, and anger that comes from a broken life. If you are marred by the situations of your past, if your circumstances have you so confused that you don't know which way to turn, if your heart has been broken and you can't seem to mend it, then you are not alone. I was that person who felt like all hope was gone. I felt like no one cared if I lived or died. My emotions were all over the place at times because all I really wanted was someone who would love me. After years of searching, I was introduced to Jesus, and the broken pieces were mended back together. Truly, my life has taken on a new beginning. God gave me a new day just when I thought it was all over, that all hope was gone. I saw myself as a broken glass, shattered, spread out into tiny pieces, I began to pray, to cry out to God to let it all be over: "I can't take it any more Lord. It's so hard. It's too much to bear," as I sobbed tearfully, asking God to take the pain away, to take me away! It was at that time that God let me know it wasn't time for departure, but it was time for restoration. God stepped in. He took those broken, shattered pieces of my life, put them back together, and restored purpose to my life.

Book excerpt: It is the trying seasons of our lives that really test our character and reveals what we’re made of. This cliche motivational tag line sounds all well and good until you’re actually in the middle of that season and feel like giving up. In this nonfiction account, Bryan Dixon reveals how the trying seasons of our lives are extremely personal and thus very dissimilar to anyone else’s. However, the spiritual, psychological, and emotional damage that surfaces as a result of it, often remains constant. It was the trying season of his life that Bryan thought would break him and maybe even his family, that he realized that the pain caused by such seasons are directly related to the matters of our hearts. In this, he claims that for the first time in his life he pursued God not because it was the right Christian thing to do, but out of genuine need and desperation. Bryan concluded that so many of our trying seasons are directly related to the actions of others. If this is the case, the only path to healing from these seasons of trials is something that Christians claim we do consistently when in reality it goes against our very human nature, forgiveness. When you can reflect back on the Shattered seasons of your life with a spiritual lens, you will discover the truth, that God truly does use our broken pieces.

As I journey in ministry, I tend to look back at my past decisions, and I begin to beat myself down for my choices. But God continues to remind me that His grace is sufficient for my past and my present! He has already forgiven me and wiped my slate clean. All I have to do now is learn to forgive myself. We've all made some disgraceful mistakes, but once we repent, we must move forward in God's grace and continue striving for perfection. Our temporary choices were not meant to permanently destroy our lives. Yes, we will suffer a few setbacks or delays, but we should never allow our visions to come to a complete halt. We must keep advancing and striving for excellence. We're all predestined for greatness in the eyes of God. His grace is what keeps us! His grace is what leads us! His grace is what saves us!When I look back over my life, I think about the people who have poured into me. I think about those who have fought for me or those who have tested me. It was those experiences, good and bad, that allowed me to become who I am today. I vow to continue to invest in myself and take the necessary time to learn who I am. I will never again allow my broken pieces to have me too afraid to walk in God's appointed grace for me. Be Blessed!

Book excerpt: For many people, remaining optimistic and feeling positive about themselves and their lives is a constant battle—especially when circumstances are difficult and life is hard. For others, negativity is something that only sneaks up from time to time, yet still wreaks havoc in their hearts. Regardless of the root causes, once pessimistic thoughts permeate our minds, our feelings and emotions begin to control us instead of us controlling them. Eventually it doesn’t seem possible to stay positive, happy, and full of joy, and negative thought patterns shake our faith, causing us to sink emotionally, mentally, and spiritually over time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Despite what storms roll in, hearts anchored in God don’t sink. When we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and live, even if our circumstances remain the same. Intentionally embracing the opportunity to experience a transformed heart and a renewed mind opens the door for a changed life, because a positive mind will always lead to a more positive life. In Unsinkable Faith, author and Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker Tracie Miles offers hope for women who struggle with negativity. Each chapter explores Tracie’s and other women’s personal stories, showing how they rose above their circumstances by transforming and renewing their minds. Book excerpt: We quickly give men our hearts when they have done nothing to earn them the right to handle such a precious gift. What is it that causes us to walk away from the things of God? Do we believe that God's standards are too high? I refused to put my hope in statistics or in whether or not I was too old, or whether or not all the good ones were taken, gay or in prison. My hope continued to rest in God's sovereignty over my life. There was a preparation process before God brought me and my husband together because although I knew how to be a godly single woman, I had no clue as to what it meant to be a godly wife. My hope was in His ability to not only transform me into a wife, one who is adaptable and complimentary to my husband but to orchestrate and align our paths to where we would one day come together and be united in marriage.
