Book Cosmic Sugar

Download or read book Cosmic Sugar written by Leela Jones and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2008-04 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imagine what your romantic life would be like if you remembered your past lives and loves. Leela Jones has that gift. Leela Jones, an in-demand professional psychic and self-professed slowly recovering hedonist, felt split in two between her desire for pleasure and her passion for soul growth. She chose Tantric and Taoist sexual and spiritual practices as her path to wholeness. Cosmic Sugar takes you on her hilarious ride of excess that leads to the funhouse of wisdom. Through diving deeply into the river of life, Jones realized that the separate banks of Eros and Spirit became one at the ground of her being. Her ongoing immersion in this flow creates a new archetype of the Divine Feminine which opens the heart into a space of boundless sweetness and joy. Cosmic Sugar blows the mind wide open by viscerally transmitting an expanded state of consciousness that can change your perspective on love relationships forever.

Book Second Takes

  • Author : Andrew Repasky McElhinney
  • Publisher : McFarland
  • Release : 2013-11-05
  • ISBN : 078647761X
  • Pages : 243 pages

Download or read book Second Takes written by Andrew Repasky McElhinney and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2013-11-05 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Second Takes presents the history of English language cinema by focusing on cinematic remakes and on how cinema has been replaced by new forms of "media." Remakes, with their innate plurality, offer the most substance for concentrated cultural analysis of how movies reflect and shape American culture. Analyzing the archetypes that recur in this culture reveals how movies are an increasingly dangerous surrogate for the actual. Close readings are presented of such works as popular favorites as Cronenberg's Crash, Disney's The Parent Trap, Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant, Hitchcock's Psycho, Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, Lynch's Twin Peaks (the film) and Welles' The Magnificent Ambersons, while unearthing pictures ripe for rediscovery such as One More Tomorrow, Strange Illusion and Andy Warhol's Vinyl. Book Dynamic Treatment Regimes

Download or read book Dynamic Treatment Regimes written by Anastasios A. Tsiatis and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2019-12-19 with total page 602 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dynamic Treatment Regimes: Statistical Methods for Precision Medicine provides a comprehensive introduction to statistical methodology for the evaluation and discovery of dynamic treatment regimes from data. Researchers and graduate students in statistics, data science, and related quantitative disciplines with a background in probability and statistical inference and popular statistical modeling techniques will be prepared for further study of this rapidly evolving field. A dynamic treatment regime is a set of sequential decision rules, each corresponding to a key decision point in a disease or disorder process, where each rule takes as input patient information and returns the treatment option he or she should receive. Thus, a treatment regime formalizes how a clinician synthesizes patient information and selects treatments in practice. Treatment regimes are of obvious relevance to precision medicine, which involves tailoring treatment selection to patient characteristics in an evidence-based way. Of critical importance to precision medicine is estimation of an optimal treatment regime, one that, if used to select treatments for the patient population, would lead to the most beneficial outcome on average. Key methods for estimation of an optimal treatment regime from data are motivated and described in detail. A dedicated companion website presents full accounts of application of the methods using a comprehensive R package developed by the authors. The authors’ website www.dtr-book.com includes updates, corrections, new papers, and links to useful websites.
